About me:
Ron served seven yrs in the Army Security Agency. He held the rank of 1st Sgt in the Electronic Warfare Group, a part of the 124th Aviation Batt. 509th ASA Group. Ron saw action in both Vietnam and Cambodia. At one time he commanded 300 troops at Ft Hood, Texas preparing them to re-enter the civilian sector. Ron received 30 Air Medals, numerous Vietnam awards, 2 Army Accommendation medals , Several Unit Citations and 3 Good Conduct Medals.
Ron owned and operated a grocery store for 20 yrs. Also, Ron was employed at the U.S. Postal Service for 31 yrs, as part of the Postal reorganization group to help bring the U.S. Postal Service into the Technological Age.
Ron has been a farmer/rancher on a nearly 1,000 acre horse ranch for 45 yrs now. In 2007, Ron received approval from Henry County, Indiana to build a 112 acre, $200 million ethanol plant on his ranch that would employ nearly 100 local workers and help brake America's dependence on foreign energy. The plant would greatly benefit Indiana farmers and would produce 110 million gallons of ethanol per year.
