I Guess This Is A Statement Of Intent!
Welcome to Lowlife Magazine Vers 15.1 - Rebirth.
This is the site where I will upload the goodstuff that gets trapped in the Lowlife consciousness sticky web. A continuation of sorts from where Lowlife Magazine hard copy left off some ten years ago. Unlike the Lowlife Magazine of old, it will not be a black fetid mush of everything I come across as I simply do not have the time to play with in this world of speed and excess. I will concentrate primarily on interviews with those who are doing something that floats my boat enough to awake my curiosity. I have one beady eye on some cool fiction as well which hopefully will appear once negotiations are concluded with the author. I will also post limited free ads (modest banners) and will add tracks and videos by independant artists as and when the urge takes me (probably once a month but, the urge is a fickle thing as the years progress!). I may add some reviews in future but simply will not have the time to wade through mountains of material to include constant reviews of new releases. I will of course be maintaining and adding to the Lowlife archive site as well.
To clarify on the content matter. This will be a site for artists voyaging in lifes darker underbelly but certainly not all pseudo doom and gloom. This is not a place for cartoon Goth but I consider it Gothic in intent. In addition I rule nothing out and nothing in. If it don't appeal, there's plenty of teen angst, disposable ganster hip hop and thinly veiled hooker Myspace out there! Whatever you're into, do have fun ............ but don't take it too seriously

Submissions, Enquiries, Law Suits and Gifts of Underwear!
Hmnn, I've had a few enquiries of late regarding submissions of material for review so I guess I'd better clarify things. Despite the number of friends requests I get from Hip Hop, Rap, Gangsta, mainstream style pop type bands, religeous wierdos, people running internet get rich quick schemes and yes, the inevitable hordes of Myspace hookers .......... ALL ARE DENIED OR MARKED AS SPAM. I have wide musical tastes but this site is primarily for darker stuff, artists expressing themselves via music or other creative means. If you want to submit something for review please message me and I will check your page out and either politely decline or accept and give you an address to send whatever it is to.
I DO NOT ACCEPT TAPES, DOWNLOADED MATERIAL, POETRY OR NOVELS (I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO DO YOU THE JUSTICE OF READING THE WHOLE BOOK), VIDEO/PC GAMES OR LIVE ANIMALS(ALL SPECIES). I DO ACCEPT CD's, DVD's, VINYL, MAGAZINES, COMICS/GRAPHIC NOVELS AND VERTICAL CUT 78's (MISERYLAB BE AWARE).
In terms of artistic style, as stated, it must fit within the remit of this site and be honest. I can spot a shiester a mile off so please don't bother if your bands only been together for two weeks!
WHERE I DO ACCEPT MATERIAL I WILL REVIEW THIS AND MAY FOLLOW UP WITH AN INTERVIEW. I ONLY GIVE HONEST REVIEWS SO BE PREPARED TO ACCEPT A CERTAIN LEVEL OF CRITICISM. I DO NOT CHANGE REVIEWS IF THE ARTIST IS NOT HAPPY WITH THE REVIEW THEY'VE RECEIVED BUT YOU CAN HAVE YOUR SAY BY WAY OF COMMENT. I WILL ONLY DELETE COMMENTS OR BLOCK INDIVIDUALS IF THEIR COMMENTS ARE POINTLESS, CHILDISH, LIBELOUS OR THEY ARE JUST BEHAVING LIKE A TWAT ETC.
