I love to travel. But, I really haven't been all that many places-- at least not yet.
Here are some of the pics from my trip to London with Jordan.
Here are some of the photos of Japan to see my pal Jim.
Music
I like just about everything. Homo-techno to Classical Baroque and everything in between.
Movies
My two favorite movies of all time have to do with the random connectivity between people-- sometimes complete strangers. "Grand Canyon" and "Six Degrees of Separation" top my list.
Television
Television is great in small doses. I know this from professional experience.
Almost done with "China Study"-- which talks about the longest nutritional study of the most subjects in history. Slow read, lots of science.
Also reading "Ecotopia", some kick-ass fiction about environmentalism in a fake country that was formed with Oregon, Washington and Northern Cali become their own country.
Halfway through "Last Light" a suspense novel set in Britain and Iraq about resource scarcity.
Still on my recommended list is the AMAZING book by James Howard Kunsler book, "The Long Emergency." I highly recommend it.

IMPORTANT | WARNING | DISCLAIMER | READ THIS : this is a space for networking with people I KNOW.
If I don't know you-- drop me a line and say hello. Meeting new people is a good thing. Nothing personal-- but FRIEND REQUESTS FROM RANDOMS WILL BE DENIED.
About me: I am not your average guy. I am self-confident, motivated, have direction, and am very happy doing my own thing. What I look for in other people is what I can bring to others: confidence, good looking, some smarts, humor, a limited amount of drama, and hopefully no bullshit.
I'm a blunt midwesterner by birth and upbringing. I love the weather here. I am full of random mostly useless knowledge. I like to travel, to meet new people, and learn new things. I'm an optimist with a painfully strong cynical streak. I have been told I'm painfully true to my astrological sun sign:
I found my rollover effect at pYzam.com, They're awesome!
Who I'd like to meet:
I have met many United States Senators, crop-dusted one of Oregon's governors, interviewed rock stars, a Time Magazine "Person of the Year", followed a Ghostbusters star through a Seattle Department Store, and made incredibly small talk with some b-list celebrities. Encountering enough ego in nearly a decade in television news has taught me that glamour is messy-- be careful not to step in it-- as it will positively ruin your shoes.
I guess I'd have to say that I'd like to meet anyone who knows who they are-- and still wants to be become a better person anyway. Self-confidence and a sense of place in the universe is a must. Wit, sarcasm, and the ability to hold your liquor also can be important as well. Understand something about current events, geography, or history. Be open-minded, have opinions-- the mental ability to articulate them is a big bonus.
I am SOOOO excited you decided to be my 104th friend...Not cause I'm a MySpace friend collector but because I'm much better at this MySpace thing than that Facebook thing. LOL Welcome to my friends list and welcome to a small part of my world...
Happy late birthday! I spotted you at Fred Meyer the other day... but you were on the phone and I was on my way out! Oh, and I drunk-texted you a couple of weekends ago. Give me a call and we'll actually get a drink together someday! :)
I'll cover for ya! ;) Enjoy it, I would love to be in your shoes during this. If you weren't there exhausting yourself you'd miss it I promise. Hope you are having a happy holiday. You look great!
Did you watch that interview I posted on the bulletin with Stephan Colbert on 60 min? There is a part in there that reminded me of you, I think you'll guess which one it is :) Hope all is well
