I'm a Youth Pastor in Desert Hot Springs. I commute to Talbot Seminary in La Mirada to get my M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics. I love God, my family, my friends, my youth kids, and learning.
I don't know quite why I'm here on earth; all I know is that I want to leave it changed for God. Life is far too painful and lonely to live for no reason. If this life is all I have to live for, I'd rather be dead. I find my ultimate fulfillment in times of intimacy with Christ, and I desire to lead others into this same intimacy. If all my Christianity has to offer people is legalistic rules, a selfish pursuit of "blessing" and "prosperity," nice music and/or a social club, I'd rather not spread it. If, however, there is power and love in the pursuit of the living God, how can I but spread his gospel? It is this God I pursue, and this God I will serve.

it has been a struggle and ive been trying to stay committed and God has been there every step of the way, and im thankful that Hes been breaking down those barriers. church has been good, God has been doing an abundant moving in our church and we just keep growing. its insane. i havent made the decision on camp because im going to visit my sister in europe for a month so ill have to pray about it and see about Gods provision for me with camp.
sounds good. Gods been doing a work with me in full commitment, not holding anything back and giving Him full control, which can be hard for us ass humans but im giving it all to Him and Hes stayed faithful unto me all the way through. truly blessed in all things. and i wouldnt have it any other way. how about yourself

i'm not gonna make it up this wednesday. i started tellin my jr. high kids i had to drop my spanish class and i would be going to wednesday nights now so they're all excited for me. i was supposed to be there last wednesday but family business took longer than i thought.
my prof gave me a week extension on it because the internet wouln't allow me to make a freaking bibliography and/or print it. The class is super relaxed, its good.
breanna totally forgot to let me know she was in our state. I repremanded her for it, but by the time i was finished doing that, we realized i had work that day and i would have just been wayy bummed that i didnt get to hang out with her.
but i did get to hang out with her this past sunday because i was in vegas for some business

If not the weekend is readily available except for saturday at 2 (job interveiw). Im going to start on a rough draft tonight. hey on a side note could you pray for my friend James, Tuesday morning he found his Brother ODed on meth(possibly heroin), Zantax, and pot. His brother is in ICU in loma linda now. Hes still in a coma. So just keep your prayers with him, the family is not believers but i hope that this brush with tragedy will help them accept the light. I'm paying 250 + utilities right now, sharing a room with my bud rob. If i did move out, i probably wouldn't make the jaunt all the way up there to do it. I'd either go back home or move into another house, i've had an offer and im sure i could make something open up if need be. My brother just got back from a super intensive leadership training so im hoping and praying this will change things, namely, if he just starts respecting his own house it will make a huge difference, but we'll see. Like a dog returns to it's vomit.
I'd loveee to make it over to your church on that wednesday but i've got spanish on wednesday nights. I skipped last wednesday because a business meeting ran late and my parents wanted to to take me to dinner, and not going to spanish is way better than going, so i didnt go. I missed the first week of class and now this past week, im not doing well in the class already so i really dont want to miss yet another class, but believe me, i was super bummed when i realized i couldn't go. Some intense worship would be great for me. I was in vegas and got to hang out with breanna for a couple hours last night. That was real cool. The OT lit class is legit. I really, really do like it. The guy completly understands the case for faith and challenges us to examine the text from a scholarly perspective. Im loving it. It opened my eyes to a specific idea the first week I went and we keep diving into it. I've got a 5 page paper due tomorrow which i've already written but need to revise and add and subrtract some stuff and include resources.
