LPX (R.I.P., 2005 - 2008) Bio LPX was Kildare man Leigh O’Gorman, although now based in South London. He specialised in brooding punk infused experimental electronica, as heard on four highly recommended releases; Fashion/Not Fashion, Seventeen, Experiments in Dub and HiFi and Easy Music for Difficult Ears.
On LPX releases he provided the (occasional) vocals, the programming, the production AND plays all the instruments. Leigh says his music sounds like “a bunch of nerds in a small room dropping acid”.
LPX ceased to exist in December 2008, as he has relinquished that responsibility to work on other music related projects.
(LPX, 2005 - 2008) In his spare time, he writes for the music orientated blog, Easy Music for Difficult Ears - easymusicfordifficultears.blogspot.com
The LPX release, "Seventeen" EP, was released in January 2008 to approximately 18 people - here are some nice things that have been said about it...
"...a collection of five inventive and agile instrumental tracks spanning 25 minutes, O'Gorman scores a coup with the sinister 'Jake's Lament'. Seventeen showcases an artist who is making music that's an unmitigated pleasure to partake in..."
Lauren Murphy, Entertainment.ie (February 2008)
"...if you're a fan of melodic electronica then you'll love "Seventeen". The five tracks on the EP are prime slices of lush electronica with an edge of dub - atmospheric, at times dark and menacing, at times soaring and energising..."
Aoife Barry, Kildare Nationalist (January 2008)
"...as track seams into track, I realise that this music was made to walk, breathe, live to: filled with purpose and intent, it will take you where you need to go..."
Naomi McArdle, Off Her Rocker (January 2008)
"...the fact that (he) sounds like Four-Tet jamming with a Glockenspiel wielding Patrick Moore should be recommendation enough..."
Music Like Dirt (February 2008)
"...the album [EP] features four [five] short little pieces of lush electronica. Top notch stuff yet again from LPX..."
RoadRecs.com (Road Records - January 2008)
"...it's more than that, it's a feeling. Like the title track of Kid A with fully grown legs, jazz put through tapped out electronica. LPX makes fine music from these things..."

hhhmmm, i think if my entry form read, 'i'd eat my own shit for 10,000 euro', the producers miiiiiiiight just bin my application......they might....any other ideas?
hi hope you can all come to this it gonna be spectac-ular download 3D GLASSESand come dance, paint, drink and wind-up some gears!
SUNDAY 1ST NOV @ The Back Loft. its BYOB and 6 euro entrance fee. we are a non-profit organisation all money goes towards making our shows interactive.
howdy, .......i caught wind of a possible new t.v. program called 'WHAT WOULD YOU DO FOR 10.000 EURO'?.....the things is; you have to think up your own dare......and send off your suggestion in an entry form - i have the entry form ......and if i could come up with a strong, extertaining idea which could be filmed and not get me thrown in prision or killed, i might be in with the running............this has to be fit for t.v. - and that's where i'm getting stumped with the whole thing - what's over the top - but not so much so, that the producers would simply bin the idea on reading it?........
self endurance?.......public humiliation?......facing a fear/many fears?.....doing something WAY out of character?..........i'd expect they're looking for something that no one in their right mind would try.......and they'll more than likely get a bunch of 'oh, i'd streak down a main street of dublin' and shit like that........i need this idea to be completely original and entertaining.........there's only about 10 days left to get the entry form in, so speedy responses to this email would be just swell........each entry picked to be shot, receive 1000 euro and then go into a public vote for the 10k........so throw as many suggestions my way as possible and maybe i'll meld a handful of them together.........................cheers, el browno the magnificent.

Heres what label owner Jason Forrest had to say!
Herv: "Not figuratively, but literally in love with Music..."
"Ireland's sexiest laptopper lands his latest mini-album on Cock Rock Disco! "Not figuratively, but literally in love with Music..." is a rave inspired experimental break-acid-core thrill ride of endless ideas and possibilities. Herv packs a lot into the 8 tracks; melodies evolve and twist, beats fracture and congeal and synths collide! It's exciting! But that's not all, it comes with 2 cd designs and a freakin A0 sized poster! Whoa! Can't beat the value in that!"
