Bio: Lucas Mari is a down-to-earth Argentinean producer, who has dedicated many years to diligently perfecting his electronic creations. Meticulous in his work, Lucas creates subtle varieties of Techno, House and sometimes even Dubstep. Born in Buenos Aires in 1981 and with musical genes running in his family, it was at a young age that he discovered electronic music. From there he developed his interest in musical production and honed his skills using a variety of softwares, sequencers and MIDI controllers. Starting in 2002, Lucas Mari becomes one of the very sought-after residents of Rosario's legendary undergroung club “El Sotano”. There, he shares countless nights with Jorge Savoretti. Franco Cinelli and Nicolas Purman for three consecutive years. The direction taken by the four friends was greatly influenced by Detroit techno and Chicago house. Fast forward a few years and starting 2005, Lucas Mari becomes a reference in Argentina, playing alongside Argentine and international talents such as: Leonel Castillo, Someone Else (USA), Jaumetic (ESP), Keith Denis (USA), Sr. Replicante, Gustavo Lamas, and many more... In 2007, Lucas Mari begins his peregrinations on the Latin American continent. First stop, the famous “Piso 33” club, and the Declive’s afterhours in Santiago de Chile. Hopping over the Andes, Lucas then lands in Uruguay where he is invited for the anniversary of the GHRK label. Nowadays, Lucas takes part in the Live Jam alongside his longtime friends Seph, Franco Cinelli, Jorge Savoretti and Andres Zacco, with whom he produced the Carbonela EP for Stock5, licenced to Ellen Allien's Boogy Bytes compilation on BPitch Control. The Jam consists in a live show that unites the simultaneous performances of the aforementioned artists. 2010 will see some of Lucas Mari's most interesting projects come to light.
