LT Roberts was born March 12, 1959 in Layfayette Louisiana but grew up in Houston, Texas. At the age of six he discovered his love for music after being blown away by seeing his uncles live performance.
It was at that time he decided how much he wanted to play music. He began by learning the guitar playing the blues and some R & B.
He was first introduced to zydeco live at a Beau Jocque concert at Club Grammy's and was quite impressed. LT then met guys like Boozoo Chavis, Step Rideau, Keith Frank, J Paul and a host of others.
He loved zydeco but felt that playing the accordian was something that he could or would never be able to do, therefore he started out playing the washboard with bands like Bourbon Street, Jabo, and Bon Ton Mickey.
During 2006 LT started picking up the accordian and getting the feel of it. Today he has his own band. LT & The Zydeco Mob. December 2008 Lt and The Zydeco Mob will be releasing there 1st Cd entitilted "Give Me A Chance". Lt and The Zydeco Mob would like to thank the many fans, family, and friends that have made there music career a success.
