I have three musical projects that I pursue. One of them being me, myself and my songs, hence the reason why I have created this myspace account. I also have a website www.ltownsend.co.uk.
The other musical projects are a song/soundtrack writing partnership with fellow musician and composer Dan Cooper. I am also a member of AloneMe. For more information about AloneMe, visit www.myspace.com/aloneme or www.aloneme.com.
Influences
I'm classically trained so I love classical piano music but I also love bands such as Live, The Beatles, Smashing Pumpkins, Stevie Wonder, Cherry Ghost...I also have a rather shameful soft spot for pop trash such as Justin Timberlake...oh dear!
Back in 2002, after university, I decided to work in a music shop in Basildon to pay off student loans (bad idea!). This is where I was introduced to the bass guitar and joined a band called The Search. As well as being in a band, I also wrote songs and gigged in an acoustic duo called LDtrinity with my friend Dan.
In 2004 I thought wouldn't it be good to do a Masters in film music, so spent 2 years doing that part time.
Since achieving my Masters, I've been recruited by the band AloneMe, done session work for some great singer/songwriters, especially artists signed to High Barn Records and have rekindled the embers of my musical partnership with Dan.
Hi Liz.... We love your solo stuff.... Please try to make down to St Anne's Castle for The Lizzie B. Experience.... We'd love for you to do a couple of numbers.... Luv Dave
Aww thanks! I don't think it is any newer than the last time you commented in December. Obviously some of the songs have changed but that is about it! As far as I am concerned, you can have the layout on my page if you wish ;-) Hope you're ok xxx
Hey Liz! Thanks for finding me and cheers for the kind comment! I really enjoyed your set in loughborough. I love your solo material..beautiful! Please stay in touch! Love and light, Lisa x
You have a fantastic voice - really like the songs. Obviously the 'cello playing goes without saying - strangely enough I played bass after years of classical training on the old Vc. Hope to meet up some day. Oh and thanks for your friendship! best wishes Ginny for KTM
Liz! Just listening to Rain in June! I'm sorry but I don't possess the necessary vocabulary to express how special, awesome, fantastic, out-of-this-world this song is. More please! An album's worth would be nice :-)
