Singing has always been second nature to Luba. It is a vital part of her self-expression and the key that unlocks her deepest emotions. A native Montrealer, she credits the city's cosmopolitan nature and her own eastern-European roots for helping define her distinct musical style. With the gift of a pure and generous voice, she has managed to parlay her talent into international acclaim. Luba's music runs the gamut from R&B to pop, soul to worldbeat, always staying in the moment with a fresh take on her melodies and lyrics.
With four major albums to her credit, Luba first burst onto the music scene with the smash hit "Everytime I See Your Picture." The single shot to the Number One spot on singles charts, prompting the release of her first major album for EMI Music. Produced by Daniel Lanois (U2, Peter Gabriel), the album also contains Luba's first of many gold singles, the song "Let it Go." Written by Luba, it stayed at the top of the charts for over 40 weeks, eventually reaching the Number One position.
Throughout the years, Luba has won many international awards, including Junos for Best Female Vocalist three years in a row, and various songwriting awards. Known for her dynamic live performances, she has performed for audiences of up to 100,000 people, and was chosen to represent Canada at the Tokyo International Song Festival where she became a top finalist. Her collaborators include such talents as Bryan Adams, Pierre Marchand (Sarah McLachlan) and Narada Michael Walden, to name but a few. Luba is currently writing material for an upcoming album release, as well as writing her first book.
Her passion also lies in discovering original new talent for her recently formed recording label...stay tuned.

Just look for this picture on the last row:
And these are the rules on how to 'do it' ...
Yeah, you do need to get accepted as a friend before you can vote, but they’re nice girls (the hawtie folks), no harm whatsoever :)
Thank you so much already,
In appreciation,
- Armand
PS. a very 'evil' thought - maybe you can tell your friends to vote too? ;)
Autumn is a second spring when every leaf is a flower. ~Albert Camus
Youth is like spring, an over praised season more remarkable for biting winds than genial breezes. Autumn is the mellower season, and what we lose in flowers we more than gain in fruits. ~Samuel Butler
The foliage has been losing its freshness through the month of August, and here and there a yellow leaf shows itself like the first gray hair amidst the locks of a beauty who has seen one season too many. ~Oliver Wendell Holmes
Listen to the Exhortation of the Dawn! Look to this Day! For it is Life, the very Life of Life. In its brief course lie all the Verities and Realities of your Existence. The Bliss of Growth, The Glory of Action, The Splendor of Beauty; For Yesterday is but a Dream, And To-morrow is only a Vision; But To-day well lived makes Every Yesterday a Dream of Happiness, And every Tomorrow a Vision of Hope. Look well therefore to this Day! Such is the Salutation of the Dawn! ~Kalidasa
Wishing you a wonderful weekend. Much Love & Light, ~Anne~
There was so much handwriting on the wall that even the wall fell down. ~Christopher Morley~
We have a hunger of the mind which asks for knowledge of all around us, and the more we gain, the more is our desire; the more we see, the more we are capable of seeing. ~Maria Mitchell~
If facts are the seeds that later produce knowledge and wisdom, then the emotions and the impressions of the senses are the fertile soil in which the seeds must grow. ~Rachel Carson~

Wishing you a beautiful weekend my precious friend! Thank you for blessing my life with your friendship.
Hi Luba. I love your music. It's timeless. I love "Every Time I see Your Picture." I know you wrote it about your dad. I listened to it after I lost my father, my stepfather and my fiance. Thanks for reading this. Take care.
