LUBE was formed in 1999 by original members Andy, Nick, and Buzz, along with original drummer Al Lopez. Al departed shortly after helping to get the band off the ground and was replaced by seasoned skin pounder Todd Schroeder. In 2002, Todd moved to Boulder, Colorado to join The Chris Juhlin Band. Todd was replaced by drummer Steve Schroeder (No relation) formerly of Bad Jack and Monkey Punch.
After playing as a four piece for 6 years it was decided that the band needed to add a fifth member to fill out the sound. The idea had been bounced around for a couple of years but there was never anyone that was the right fit. In August of 2005, the band added veteran musician Jeff Hermans to the fold. Jeff had previously been a member of SuperTuesday, one of the top acts in southern Wisconsin. Jeff's excellent guitar work and vocals add a new dimension to the band that will most most likely help take the band to the next level.
Musically, LUBE is all over the map, not specializing in any particular style or Genre. At a LUBE show you'll hear songs from current artists such as; The Darkness, Jet, Greenday, Theory of a Deadman, Godsmack, Goo Goo Dolls. You'll also hear stuff from 80's Rock such as; Billy Idol, Bon Jovi, Guns-N-Roses, Poison, as well as some funky stuff from Prince, Morris Day & The Time, & Rick James. Hell, you'll even hear some Country from Keith Urban, Trent Tomlinson, & Jerry Reed. To top it all off, a LUBE show wouldn't be complete without some Head Banging stuff from Megadeth and Metallica. You'll be in good company. It's KY's cousin's birthday party, so be sure to wish Diane a happy b-day. I have to work 16 hours tomorrow, 15 on Friday, and 12 on Saturday, so I doubt I'll make it. Have a wild time!
