In the darkness, with my eyes wide open, without giving up, I play this land, dirt of blood, land that can't watch itself in the mirror. I use my slang, when no slang is allowed to be used. I talk about simple days, about people of the streets, incorrect, pop music avoided, love's anaesthetics avoided also, in this eternal Italian province. I love Rap, but I don't want to be an imitation of American rappers.
I was grown between green chestnuts and illicit buildings, among hospital rubbish, perfumed cyclamens and stolen cars, sparrows and bullets driven into walls, flourishing meadows and used swords. I went out from my mother's belly in spring of the '77, and everybody calls me Lucariello.. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Con gli occhi aperti nel buio, senza rassegnazione, suono la mia terra, sporca di sangue che non riesce a guardarsi allo specchio. Uso il dialetto dove i dialetti ormai sono banditi. Le storie sono quelle di tutti i giorni, quelle dell'uomo della strada: scomode, evitate dalle canzoncine e dagli anestetici d'amore dell'eterna provincia Italia. Amo il Rap, non amo scimmiottare gli Americani. Sono cresciuto in un palazzo abusivo tra verdi castagneti e rifiuti ospedalieri, profumati ciclamini e macchine rubate, passerotti e proiettili conficcati nel tufo, freschi prati fiorenti di pere appena usate...
