My name is Lucas Wynne. Wynne is pronounced like the word "win". I sound better live because my music is self-produced and I'm not very good at producing, but I'm learning! I can't give you a professional demo because I don't have that kind of money. I'm a dreamer. I was born and raised in North Dakota but will be living in Nashville by late August under enormous college debt. Education is your way out, remember that. I know how to catch frogs, dead serious. You could probably call me a "man's man". You learn to be tough in North Dakota, whether you realize it or not. I don't advertise my middle name because it's too sterotypical for a country singer. My favorite color is yellow. My favorite number has been seven since I was seven. I'm extremely nice. All you have to do to become my friend is say "hey" and start a conversation with me. I sing country because I love it, money plays no role. I play a six-string guitar that I haven't named... I just can't think of a really cool one yet, Willie Nelson's "trigger" is just so darn cool compared to my guitar. I bought my guitar from a pawn shop. I was born in a poor neighborhood, there was a drug house on both ends of my block and a man was killed by his step son when I was 12 on the other side of the block - believe it or not. I discredit people that blame their "horrible life" on "where they grew up." You can make the best of everything. I once heard a kid complaining that their Dad wouldn't pay to have their new car painted and I started choking on the bottle of water I was drinking. The point is never complain about how much money you do or don't have, it's not what matters. I've never been good at judging my own strength. I'm in a good mood all the time. Interesting fact... I've had over 40 stitches from I don't even know how many incidents. I don't drink and I don't smoke, so don't ask me to - I saw something unreal happen as a result of alcohol and am somewhat allergic to smoke. People that take advantage of women are losers, period! I love bullriding and hockey, but I only do the latter. I haven't sworn or cussed in my life and I have kids that have known me since before elementary school that can back that up! The reason people relate to my songs is simply because I tell the truth. I don't consider any of my songs to be "deep," but some do. I have an over-eagerness to play music, every waking second! If somebody asks "what does your music sound like?" and I have a guitar, I'll sit down and play them a song right there. Ask me to, I will. I'm extremely comfortable playing music to large crowds. I taught myself guitar because lessons are too expensive. I work on songs constantly in my mind. Garth is incredible and I want to carry on his style like Kenny carried on Strait's and Strait carried on Merle's. I want to be the guy that proves they care for the fans more by doing all sorts of things that other artists don't and make everything cheaper. I vow not to sell anything until I'm signed to prove that I love my fans, not their money. My fans, the "Live Wyres" mean the WORLD to me. Country needs a male artist again that puts on a serious party and that's what I hope to become.
Oh, nice. It sounds like fun and I wish you the best of luck! Like you said, it will be a lot of work, but I know that you will stick with it and keep on achieving your dream. Thanks. :D I hope that you have a wonderful fourth of July as well, and definitely keep in touch. I look forward to hearing all of your new songs that you'll be working on!
Hey, it's been a little while since we've talked. :] Just wanted to stop by and let you know that I still love the music and I'm glad that you keep coming out with new songs. Keep up the good work! How has you summer been going so far?
ive never been to north dakota. i think some of my friends are throwing a party at this big house in the middle of the desert. lol we partied there last weekend and it was really fun. if not that, then i heard of a bunch of my friends gettin together on some golf course haha dont really know what thats about, but i think we'll be able to watch the fireworks from there!
I swear lol. Shes apparently been around too many country folks in the past year, because she sounds a lot like the people from around here. Which isn't a bad thing, so when you make it big don't be suprised if people don't start asking you why you have an accent if you aren't from the south lol.
Well I have to dissagree on one part, Taylor Swift talks a lot like I do, with a southern accent. lol But I'm from Kentucky, where most people think I automatically have an accent. But I think its fabulous you love country music and your not from the south. Its a wonderful genre that is diffenitely set apart from rap/pop and all that posing music.
Very cool. Yeah, you never know what might happen. From what I've heard, Belmont is awesome. I checked out the campus (as well as Vanderbilt's) a few years ago when I was in Nashville. My friend wants to go there in a year or so. She wants to be a tour manager.
Well, good luck with everything. I hope it works out.
Yeah, she's been doing alright. I have to sleep in the living room with her for a few nights so I can be here to change her ice pack and give her the pain meds.
Her surgeon showed us pictures from the scope of what he did and I was absolutely amazed. I'm going into Pre-Med so I can only hope that I'll be able to do amazing things like that.
I hear ya on having some rain now and then. With these Michigan winters, the sun and rain in the summer is the best way to have it. I especially love thunderstorms.
And playing guitar, that doesn't surprise me one bit. You're such an amazing musician. I can only hope for great things for you.
Where are you kind of hoping you'll be a year from now? Have any near-future goals?
