   About Luce Women
Luce:

~ Released from bonds or restraint
~ Detached, without definite occupation
~ Relaxed

Luce Women are an acoustic band who perform traditional Irish, Scottish and American music, folk, blues, Cajun, and whatever contemporary music takes their fancy. They have appeared at clubs and festivals, and always promise a good time because although they are highly professional, they are only serious about their music!

Between them they have won several singing awards, have played in electric, a capella, traditional and family bands, and have eaten more chocolate biscuits than you've had hot dinners.

Luce Women have appeared at (amongst others):

Both Sides of the Tweed Festival, Selkirk
Whitby
Celtic Connections
Teesdale Thrash
Portpatrick Festival
The Hootenanny, Inverness
The Hardraw Gathering

Luce Women are now taking bookings for 2008.

Before my father died he talked about the things he had seen and things he had to do. He had never spoken before about those bloody times and now I know what happened, I understand why he was the man he was.
God Bless

If you have walked in the heart of the Green wood
and have bathed in the light of its living force
remember what you have felt;
and whenever you pass a tree
whether it stands alone in a wilderness of human making
or in the depth of woodland,
give a moment of your time to listen to its voice.
For in many parts of the land the trees are dying
only the hearts that know something of the true wisdom can save them. (Anon)

Hello Luce Women, lovely song thank you, nice to meet you.

Si usted ha paseado por el centro del bosque verde
y se ha bañado en la luz de su fuerza viva
recuerde lo que usted ha sentido;

Thanks, all the best to you too.

There is not enough live music in the area, and without places to play people won't be as keen to join bands and write their own music.

Hi Cathy.

Yes. I did see the photos. You haven't seen my Photo yet.

I think we are all still young. It's got something to do with the music and in our case a certain Beer that is famous for being "good for you"

cheers.

Profile's been there for a dog's age! It's only a new tune and a couple of changes to the words...

As for the shoes... They were £70 and the footbeds (which can come out of those and into other pairs) were £30. Don't believe everything you hear from onlookers! :-p
