  • Biografía

    I started learning drums at the beginning of 2000 in Campinas / SP. After two years of weekly lessons and daily study I moved to Sao Carlos / SP to study at UFSCar (Federal University of São Carlos). In San Carlos I began playing more shows than studying music theory. In the period 2002 to 2004, I consolidated as drummer for Rock and Metal because it was part of two bands of these styles ("Kaosfera" and "Raptor X"). In 2004 I started recording the first album of my career, the album "God From The Machine" of the band X Raptor. In the same year I moved to the degree in Music at UFSCar again and this gave me a rich theoretical and practical experience with the university's Experimental Orchestra. From 2004 to 2007 I participated in other rock bands ("Jardim Cefalico" and "Homem com Asas"). I performed some work as a freelance drummer in different recording studios playing Pop, Rock and Metal too. In 2006 I did some gigs with the Blues/Southern Rock band "Midnight Riders" which was a tribute to the legendary American band "The Allman Brothers Band." In 2007 I created along with the musicians Danilo Zanite (guitar, vocals) and Daniel Gordin (bass) the band "Stranhos Azuis" besides doing some shows with the Pop/Rock band, "Ponto 50". In 2008 I left the X Raptor and did some gigs for the band "Criatua". This year was very good for the Stranhos Azuis because we are first in the 2nd Festival of Independent Bands of CAASO (USP Sao Carlos). In 2009 Stranhos Azuis played an important festival in Sao Carlos (the 3rd edition of CONTATO Festival) and now prepare to launch in the second half of 2011 their first album entitled "Strangeness". From 2009 to 2011 I worked at Radio UFSCar in the area of audio production. In this time of work, created the Rock radio program called "MOFO", which is broadcast live every Thursday at 21pm. In early 2011 I started my own home studio (REC_JÃO) where I made recordings of my works. At the end of 2010 so far, beyond the Stranhos Azuis I started playing in the instrumental rock band, "Maycon Bianchi & The Imaginary Band." Since 2004, I gave private lessons in drums, which helped me a lot in my work of achieving completion of the course (TCC), which the result was an extension course of drums and percussion by distance education from UFSCar. Now, after graduate degree in music from UFSCar, I got a job in music school "Ad Libitum", and licensed by EM&T (School of Music & Technology) in San Carlos, where in addition to classroom lectures presence, I'm doing a continuation of the course of drums and percussion by distance education.
