    .. Chris Berry attended New School University in NYC where he earned a B.F.A in Jazz and Contemporary Music Performance. While at the New School, Chris studied many aspects of percussion including the Moeller technique with Jojo Mayer, ensemble playing and improvisation with Ari Hoenig, and studio/pop drumming with Shawn Pelton. He was also fortunate to have studied Afro-Cuban and Middle Eastern percussion with Bobby Sanabria and Jamey Haddad. .. .. Chris began playing drums at age ten and quickly discovered a love for the instrument. Throughout high school, he played in orchestras, jazz/rock/pop bands, and a percussion ensemble that traveled to PASIC and Bands of America. Currently, Chris performs as a member of The Avi Fox-Rosen Group and Bing & Ruth at venues such as Rockwood Music Hall, Barbes, Le Poisson Rouge, Southpaw, and Banjo Jim's.
