Music,
Mountain Biking, Hiking, Camping, Skiing, White Water Rafting, Drumming, Rhythm, Non-Conformity, Going to see my favorite artists in concert, or any good show (with talented individuals) for that matter, Living (Raw) Food Nutrition / Superfoods, Vigorous Exercise, Nature, Animals, Metaphysics, Reading (non fiction or what I consider to be nonfiction, others may beg to differ), Lucid Dreaming, 'Going the Distance', Transcendence, Spiritual Evolution (presence), learning more about 'my' connection and relationship to my surroundings (micro or macro-cosmic), .......it's a growing list.
...enough for now.
In my opinion, the worlds greatest, most under-rated band:
Rush: The Pass..
Miss Sarajevo: Stay (far away so close):
Lateralus (Tool):
In my opinion, 'Into The Wild' is a very "moving picture".
Guaranteed:
The soundtrack (by Eddie Vedder) is also stellar:
Society:
Long Nights:
Back in the Day:
...other than Animal Planet, Discovery, Nova, and such educational programs, Alot of comedies w/ canned laughter are completely unstimulating, and The 'M' in MTV unfortunately doesn't stand for Music any more. I'll spare you (somewhat) of my opinion on the nightly news and their subsequent ads for prescription medication to help you through the resulting emotional state and sense of vulnerability.
I watch about 2-3 hours of t.v. per year by default due to scattered visits throughout the year to my parents' place in Boring (Berlin) Connecticut. That's more than enough for me.
Walt Witman, Henry David Thoreau, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William Blake, Robert Frost, (and those other literary geniuses), William James, James Allen, Joseph Murphy, Ernest Holmes, Napoleon Hill, Abraham Lincoln, Roosevelt, Carl Jung, Krishnamurti, Albert Einstein, Karl Pribram, David Bohm, Baird Spalding, Werner Heisenburg, David Hawkins, Colin Tipping, Fred Alan Wolf, Dean Radin, Michael Talbot, Lynn McTaggart, Stephen Laberge, Eckhart Tolle, David Frawley, Gary Renard, Lao Tse, Sly Stallone, Babaji, Bruce Lee, Lance Armstrong Deepak Chopra, Alan Steinfeld Michael Beckwith, Wayne Dyer, John E. Mack, Nikoli Tesla, Robert A. Monroe, William Buhlman, Steven Laberge, Dr. Raymond Moody, Bruce Lipton, Candace Pert.., David Wolfe, Gabriel Cousens M.D., Matt Monarch, Bruce Fife N.D., Dr. Robert Young, Charles Schnabel, Ann Wigmore, Dr. Norman Walker, Fred Bisci, Lance Armstrong, Rupert Sheldrake, Max Planck, Ramana Maharshi, Patanjali, Paramahansa Yogananda, Mother Theresa, Peace Pilgrim, Nisargata Maharaj, Rumi, along with many other mystics of the east (I'm interested in Eastern Philosophy, it's provided me with answers where religion often falls short ...Never stated here that I was a ordinary.), Carlos Castenada Chris Cornell, Neil, Alex, Geddy, Bono, Larry, Adam, The Edge, Mike Patton, Matt Cameron, Danny Carey, Dennis Chambers, Vinnie Coliauta, Dave Weckl, Steve Smith, Marvin "Smitty" Smith, Steve Gadd (many other drumming greats). And way too many more, and yes women as well (like Oprah for example).
This list may grow as I think of more that I can't think of right now.
