LUCIEN were one of Sweden's leading cult underground hardrock bands.
BORN in 2004 when singer/guitarist Greg Hell (previously of UK punk legends Mr.Zippy) joined forces with guitarist Viktor Hemgren (who has has a huge impact on Swedens metal scene with bands such as Månegarm, Sorg, Construcdead and Maze of Torment).
LUCIEN play what has been described as "crusty, goth tinged punk-metal (Gravyzine)" or "Dirty garage rock with enough flair to make any stadium cock-rockers cower in embarassment (Siczine)" but the band just call "HELLROCK".
AFTER countless DIY releases and compilation albums worldwide the band released their debut s/t album on Ireland's DEADLAMB RECORDS. This was re-released by Sweden's PLUGGED RECORDS and has been released also in the UK, China, Tiawan, Finland and Hong Kong.
LUCIEN toured the UK and Sweden playing with such bands as THE EXPLOITED, MUSTASCH, THE ROBOTS and FABULOUS DISASTER and were hailed as one of the burning torches of Sweden's hardrock scene among a rising invasion of sleazerock imitators and radio friendly trash.
LUCIEN broke up in 2009. They felt it was better to do what they did and leave it at that.

It´s the staff at Arvika-festivalen that´s *ssholes....the only way for smaller bands to play there is to get the most votes on a stupid contest,so the more friends a band has on myspace the higher the chances are that that crapband might get the chance to play Arvika.... I don´t support bands or festivals that act like this,it sucks big time! Regards/D.D
