~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Lucinda's humble beginnings began in church, singing at the young age of four. She credits much of her training and upbringing to her grandmother. At St John's Fire Baptized Holiness Church in Bridgeport, her grandmother would reprimand Lucinda and make her sing before the congregation. "She saw that there was something within me that I didn't know about," says Lucinda.
Loyal. Lucinda has learned to be loyal throughout the course of her life. The first song that she sung was "Going Up Yonder," by Walter Hawkins. Her musical influences include Andrae Crouch, Tramaine Hawkins, Shirley Ceasar, Yolanda Adams, The Clark Sisters and Donnie McClurkin . These artists taught her vocal dynamics, diversity, spiritual preservation, and self-belief. At the age of eleven, Lucinda sang with the Pentecostal Church of Prayer & Deliverance. She credits Reginald Stewart with teaching her how to sing with a choir. By the time she was 14, Lucinda was leading songs with Willie Small and the Willie Small Singers. Little did she know that God had so much more in store. Her loyalty to the smaller musical aspirations has helped sustain her to this day. She attends Turner's Faith Temple in Bridgeport, CT, Bishop J.C. White, Pastor.
Prepared. Lucinda found out that being prepared is so much more than learning the correct songs and how to sing them. Her mother is a minister who raised her by biblical standards. One would think that Lucinda would be prepared to sing God's praises, but God wanted to build character in her life and prepare for her future. Something happened that would change her life forever. Just upon graduation from high school at the age of 16, Lucinda skipped high school to spend the day with her father. "We had a talk about me not getting pregnant before marriage. I sung four songs to him. He began to cry saying that his daughter was going to be something...'that the world would know who she was.' He was expecting to come to my graduation." Unfortunately, Lucinda's dad was shot three hours later. Daddy's girl was alone and she was filled with anger. Lucinda speaks candidly of this today because even in her loss, she speaks of the strength and character that God gave her to endure his death.
Lucinda progressed with life trusting God all of the way. At age 18, she began singing with world-renowned, Tramaine Hawkins. "I sung with Tramaine for five wonderful years. She would let me lead songs occasionally. It was a great experience," says Lucinda. She soon found herself in the presence of God more than often while he was developing a life that she now lives: a life of Praise & Worship. She has been compared with the sounds and styles of Yolanda Adams and Donnie McClurkin.
We’re having a hot wave and many people are complaining about the extreme hot temperatures. When I step outside it’s like stepping into a furnace. For the pass few days I’ve been sweating when walking outside. For many people the extreme hot weather is unbearable. However the hot temperatures you may be experiencing cannot be compared to the terrible hot temperature of the lake of fire and brimstone called hell. Although it is extremely hot outside the true is hell is hotter.
How hot is hell? The bible gives us an idea of how hot hell is in Luke 16:24. “And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.” What a flame? Can you imagine how terribly hot hell is? The tormented flame in hell can never be put out. Euthanasia is not an option in hell. It is impossible for a person to pull the plug and die in hell where torment is forever. A clear picture of how hot hell is can be found in Revelation 19:20. “And the beast was taken, an
Regrets, none of us can't say we haven't lived without regrets, because we all have. It's how we learn, accept and acknowledge the regret that matters. Saying you are sorry and forgiving the cause and effect of the regret is what will move you on, holding on to the regrets and its cause and effect will keep you captive and captivating: defeat, loneliness, sadness, fear, hurt, depression and much, much more. Release it and you open yourself up to a whole world of possibilities; love, hope, strength, friendship, relationship, self-empowerment, improvement, success, dreams, visions, healing, prosperity, happiness and much, much, much more. Learn to forgive yourself and others. Regret is a heavy load to carry and it so heavy that is slows you down and holds you back. Dump your load and release the regret, by FORGIVING. You know you're "Waiting to Exhale" AGAPE
I found out 2 days ago that my brother was diagnosed with terminal cancer, although it's upsetting, I'm okay. My sisters are a mess, they can't stop crying. I'm okay with that too, crying releases pressure. It's good to cry every now and then. But, I told my sisters to break from crying and to pray. Prayer is a powerful healer and outlet. I talked to my brother and advised him not to be down. That he has CANCER, but cancer doesn't have him, and as long as he is alive there is always Hope. Just stay in Faith. I also made sure he was right with God. I advised him not to become mentally sick because depression and stress will kill you way faster then cancer. I told him to stay positive, because the body is designed to heal itself, and if we are positive and don't get stressed or depressed over the disease or our circumstances we free the body to do the work it was designed to do, and we aid in our healing. There are so many disease out there today that are terminal, incurable, threatening, and crippling, but when one hardship happens, something greater and even better usually follows, but the grief, sorrow, and depression of one loss sometimes consume our recieving the greatness to come, and we miss it. Whether my brother makes it through this or not. I believe he is healed because sometimes healing comes even in death and I was blessed to be his sister and even more blessed to know he is at peace. I'm not giving up, just looking up. Whatever happens, I know that it was God's plan. And, either is a MIRICLE, because he will be totally Healed or he will be totally Healed. I'm hoping that anyone dealing with any of these diseases understand what I am saying and that it will help you or a loved one, because it is not Cancer that is the enemy, it is how we deal with it, that is the enemy. The" FEAR FACTOR, is beatable. " Our brain ,the mind and central transmitter can protect, defeat, assist,and with-stand anything. We have the POWER! AG
