About me: A strange thing about me is that I can talk like crazy, waffling on for hours on end a lot of the time…and yet when it comes to filling out things like this, I can never think of what to write. It’s a bugger, isn’t it? Never mind, I shall try my best…
My name is Sarah
I’m 20
I live in Maidstone, Kent
I also live in Reading, Berkshire
That’s because I’m doing a BA in Music Technology at Thames Valley University
I’m an only child
I have an amazing boyfriend who I’ve been with for 5 years, and I love him so much :)
I’m very random and will often ramble about things that don’t interest anyone but me.
They’re the kind of basics I suppose…the other day I was thinking of what to write here, and I’ve noticed that other people often put stuff that they love/hate. And I was thinking, listing the things I love is easy…my boyfriend, friends, family, stationary (mock me not!), spotty things, going on random drives, laughing, going out for meals, being silly…see, already I’ve come up with nine things and we’ve barely scratched the surface yet!
And then I was trying to think of things I hate…and apart from one thing (having loose hairs in my mouth, yes it’s odd but what can I say), I couldn’t think of anything else I hated. And I was thinking wow, I’m either an incredibly loving person or just very boring, not hating anything in the world. But thanks to a trip to Matalan and looking at the video stand by the till, I was reminded of something I really hate.
You know when you see a dvd, video, film poster etc and they have a photo of the stars of the film on the front, with their names above/below the picture? What I really hate is when the names are above the wrong people. Trivial yes, but it really annoys me! Yes yes, I know they put the names in an order that look best or whatever, but seriously, if you have a dvd cover with 3 people on, standing in a row, why not put the right names above the right head?!
So yes, that’s my main hate…and if the thing I hate most in the world is something as silly as that, I think I can go back to assuming that I’m either a loving or boring person…or perhaps both! I’m gonna stick with loving though, as I’m a naturally happy and positive person…and boring doesn’t sound good lol.
I do believe the length of this section has proved just how much I can ramble when I put my mind to it…and I could probably go on for a lot longer! But I won’t, I’ll leave it here for now.
If you want to know anything else about me or have any random questions to ask me, send them in a message/comment, and I’ll put the answers up here!
I have lots more photos on Facebook, including a whole album dedicated to how fucking ugly I was when I was younger haha worth a visit if you're bored or need cheering up!
On myspace...anyone really, preferably people that vaguely know me somehow!
In the big wide world...Bill Bailey, Dylan Moran, Tim Minchin again, Peter Kay (I'm sensing a comedian theme here), Girls Aloud (Ok so the theme changed), Jennifer Garner, Richard Fleeshman (as long as he's straightened his hair!), Michael Vartan, Daniel Craig
A video to show why Tim Minchin is worthy of meeting:
Comment Me!
A little box to fill with love...
Or, you know, just a comment would do.
Awwwww good luck on the job hunt me dear,I'm sure you'll find something =] =] I need a new job mine sucks....altho my boss has offered to me if I wanted to do some training I could become a third chef if I wanted to so I might go for it =] not sure yet tho heehee!
I'm not entirely sure why we have our formal so early. I suppose it's just a reward for mid-year exams or something. We also have the year 12 validictory dinner at the end of the year, but that's more of an awards night for academic achievement and the like. It's quite confusing. mas.
Haha, yes, it is very confusing. We do finish around Christmas. Our final exams are in November, I think. Then it's summer holidays -for three months- and then uni starts. Aah!
Thanks about my outfit. ^_^ The shoes were in fact a pain in the... feet. If I did them up too tight, they nearly killed my toes, but too loose, and they fell off. And due to health and safety issues, we weren't allowed to dance with shoes off, so I nearly fell over doing the nutbush dance. Ahaha. But it was a great night and totally worth the pain and lack of sleep.
Today was rather annoying though, because our music director forgot to pack my saxophone into the van, so I had to drive to the school to get it, and it took ten minutes to get the instrument store room door open. Only ended up playing two of the songs, and my sax didn't have time to warm up. But aw well. Shit happens. Haha.
I'll put some formal photos up when I'm less stuffed, so you can look at them. Thanks for the lovely comments. :)
Sorry I didn't reply earlier, Sarah. I'd written a nice long comment and then internet explorer died, the nasty thing.
Unfortunately I'm only temporarily free, because they were just my mid-year exams. Five more at the end of the year, I'm afraid. But for now, that's it! It's very liberating.
The "senior social" is tonight, and I feel as if I'm really not ready for it. Haha. But my dress is black with a dark pink lace bit at the top, and a dark pink sash with a black feathery bit in the middle. There are some photos here. It should be fun! I'm excited.
But then I've got a stage band performance at 9:30 the next morning, and it's to open the new freeway down here, so I'm going to be on TV but I'll look like a zombie. :D
Anyway, I hope you have a fabulous weekend - with your new fiancé!
I've finished my exams! Chemistry... well, the multiple choice part was okay, but I think I stuffed up the rest. It's okay though, because it's over! And I've got the formal on Saturday. Exciting.

Sorry for all the comments, just thought I'm mention... for a while Bret would never be seen without that red and blue hat on... that was probably the start of my hat obsession.
They moved to america, and I can't go to see them perform anymore, and eventually the obsession faded a bit due to lack of contact. I was VERY surprised to see their DVD in stores... made me do a double-take.
Hehe, when i first joined MySpace and friended the Conchords, Jemaine sent me a message saying "Does 20 yellow rubber men mean anything to you? if not, nevermind".
So he still remembered me.
I felt very strange watching the final episode of the first series of the Conchord's TV show... where they run into their #1 fan and she's wearing the tshirt of another novelty music act, having replaced her obsession... it felt scarily familiar. :-S
Here's a reminder of the Phones 4 U ad... though I can't find the original ad.
the Conchords used to do the Edinburgh Fringe, and they've done a couple of UK tours. Also, they used to advertise Phones 4 U on the telly.
They're very nice chaps. I used to send them strange little presents (mostly little yellow stretchymen)... and then one time, they got a member of the venue staff to find me and give me a poster and Bret's guitar string. I was tickled to bits.
