Lucky Kelson - Owner/Producer/Engineer/Musician
At the age of 14 Lucky's parents gave him a reel-to-reel tape recorder for Christmas and the seed was planted. As a native of Pensacola, Florida and multi-talented musician, Lucky has been performing since the early 60's playing drums professionally. In the late Seventy's he began playing keyboards, joining his late brother Robert, also an accomplished drummer and pianist. Together with their younger brother and sound engineer, Albert Kelson, they formed the "Kelson Brothers' Band." They played the local venues and did extensive touring across the southeast. Lucky plays guitar, bass, saxophone and flute, but is best known for his superior drum work and his artistic expression with the piano and Hammond B-3 organ. Over the years his love of music attracted him to the production side of the business, where his skills and experience have enabled him to successfully bring out the best in his clients. Lucky writes, performs, produces, arranges, whatever it takes, to help give his clients a superior product. LuckyK Recording Studio continues to attract the attention of local, national and international artists who recognize his skill and the magic associated with the sound and atmosphere of LuckyK studio itself. It's not uncommon to have producers, musicians and artists travel from Nashville and all over the country to work on their projects at LuckyK Recording Studio.
