Weathered from years of artificial pop glossed as the rhythm and soul of middle America, Lucky Suns are blazing a new trail with a fine arsenal of original songs as well as a few known and obscure covers. The Suns uniquely blend the roots of rural America with the dirty rawness of a downtown Seattle street corner. The result is a dense atmosphere of Americana music that fits as perfectly on a rural back porch as it does a suburban bedroom.
They formed in the Summer 2006. With Dru Deiner's ambitious vision of a true American roots sound, he started off with a harmonica and a guitar, then teamed up with renowned Denver guitarist, T. Fresh, who brought some fine songwriting skills to the table. The pair soon hooked up with pedal steel guitarist Houston McCoy, who immediately gave the sound a stamp of authenticity by using an instrument that is hard to find in the big city “and even harder to learn!” states Houston. The rhythm section is manned by Southern Colorado transplant (and fine bass player to boot), Derek Medina and native Washingtonian and master percussionist Jefferson Allen who holds down the fort. Check them out at your local honky-tonks and taverns throughout the great Northwest

Thank you for being our friend. Uncle DooDad invites you to stop by http://www.uncledoodad.com/ and check out the live recordings we’ve posted from recent shows in Seattle, Portland and Bellingham. Lots more streaming audio for free on the site too.
Hey guys, long time no see! If any of you are wondering what to do with this upcoming Thursday night...perhaps you will consider the following. Hope to see you!
Hey y'all, I dig your sound and thanks for the offer of a gig in Seattle. Hopefully one day soon we'll take you up on that. Also, we can return the favor if you're ever down around Boise. Keep on keepin' on.
We are excited to play tomorrow night (Friday) at Conor Byrne. We are going on at 9pm, and playing with some incredible folks. Please join us for the worlds greatest whiskey gingers and greyhounds in the whole wide world. Love, Big Sur.
Of course you can have a copy of the video; It's no hassle at all. Thank YOU for being a part of the show. If you have audio of that night, it would be better than what I have. The audio I have didn't turn out as well as I'd hoped. I'll let you know when the DVD is complete, but don't worry about buying one. I want to give everyone that was involved a copy, sort of as my 'thank you' gift.
Hello gentlemen. Just stopping by to say hello. You'll have to let us know how the New Frontier show goes. It looks a pretty cool spot! Hope all is well!
Thanks for your approval of the video for "So. Colorado". It was my pleasure to put it together! Thank you again for performing at our benefit. Lucky Suns rocks!!!
