Here's the story...of a bar called Lucy's...
We are the South's only retired surfers' restaurant and bar. We serve the best California - Mexican food, presented in an atmosphere which captures the flavor of the Southern California coast----a place where good surfing and great Mexican food have been the tradition.
Lucy's first opened in 1985 on the corner of 84th and Columbus Avenue in New York City, far from any reef break. Owner Bruce Rampick, a native southern Californian, joined forces with former long-board riders, Kim Rampick and Bill Durkin, in opening New York's first "Surfer" bar and restaurant.
Like any hot surf spot, Lucy's became the locals favorite with classic surf photos and old surf boards lining the walls. Lucy's brought tasty mexican food, rockin' music, and the Shark Attack cocktail to Manhattan's upper west side.
in December of 1992, Bruce Rampick and wife, Susan, a native New Orleanian, opened the second retired surfers bar and restaurant in New Orleans. Lucy's New Orleans offers great food, exotic drinks, friendly employees and a very cool environment.
Lucy's has now expanded from the Warehouse District to the Northshore of Lake Pontchatrain. December of 2007 saw the grand opening of our new location in COSTA RICA!!!

So many people still don't understand Riverboarding. We do not use a boat to travel upstream at 30+ mph. Riverboarding is powered by a bungee system that slingshots you upstream. You use the river current to stretch the bungee. Once the bungee is done pulling, it releases from the board allowing you to do many boardsport tricks. Once your ride is done, float back downstream to the end of the bungee, hook the board to the bungee, stretch it and ride again. Surf all day long! I am still getting Emails asking how to hook the board to the boat. www. BANSHEERIVERBOARDS. COM
I would love to be added to the distribution list - I will message you my name & info.
Of course the whole copyright thing sucks - but you can add a player to your myspace that would play all the songs... or you know; just tell me what they are ;) Your Choice Little Mama!
Aww your comment made my day - Now if I can only get back down to Nawlins to bring my husband to Lucy's my life would be complete - oh and also find a "Lucy's Retired Surfer Bar SOUNDTRACK" would be amazing too - please create that CD so my life could be completely amazing!
