Ludwig van knows how to find the right mixture between impudently fast forward and faithful Indie Sounds, with their tinny, various, and at the same time genuine songs, leaded by melodies you won’t get out of your ear. In the first three years "Ludwig van" proves this with style, humour and passion, over two hundred times on stages in Germany and Denmark!
Since the set up of "Ludwig van" in autumn 2005, it never became silent around the four
blissful blokes from Flensburg. Not only in the local scene, the band became a "hype" and gained a huge fan base! Through several Airplays on one of Germanys biggest Radio Stations (Delta Radio) and a various number of Online Radios, e.g. The Stuart Bedasso Show from New York, the Band could present themselves to a huge audience all over Germany and the World.
After hundred of played concerts, Ludwig van got attention and could convince the Professionals inside the music scene. The Band reached the German finals of "The Global Battle of the Bands", where they won recording sessions at the legendary Dorian Gray Studios in Munich, and convinced the judges of the John Lennon Talent Award and got inside their support program.
Bands like Jennifer Rostock, Trashmonkeys, Tomte, Dúné and One Fine Day did not only choose the band to do their support shows, but are also very supportive for the bands further career.
The Band grew through this support, socialized among people in the music scene and could without help from a professional Label or Management, produce and promote their first album "This is not Paul". Which by now is sold worldwide through their website.
In September 2008, Ludwig van, decides to take their biggest step until then. Pascal, Hinnerk, Jesper and Lennart moved together to Berlin to focus on the Band.
There is no stagnancy in foresight. At the moment, Ludwig van is working on their new EP, which will be presented on their tour in January and February.
