“It’s refreshing to listen to Lu Horta’s work. With a clear and sensitive voice, she presents her own songs that brim with emotion. The sound is original and well accomplished. She has something to say, and the security to say it in her own way. She is at once calm and determined. May she continue always to sing.”
Arnaldo Antunes
“Lu Horta is a restless composer and a mature singer. Her work is the antidote to laziness and mental weakness of the creative mind. She is part of a generation that wants to be heard regardless of any fashionable tendencies. It is a relief to run into people like this: creative, willing and aware. Let the complainers be quiet, we want to listen to Lu Horta.”
Chico César
Lu Horta's smooth voice brings personality. After 8 years as acting member and vocal coach of Barbatuques is wrapping up "Paraiso Eu" ( Paradise Me) - her second solo album. With some pop melodies doted with electronic flavors and rich poetry, "Paraíso Eu" was produced by Bruno Bonaventure and carries songs from Lu herself and unpublished partnerships with Moisés Santana, Ricardo Breim, Helô Ribeiro, Jean Boechat and Edu Marin, as well as revisited arrangements from Arnaldo Antunes, Vitor Ramil, Luciano Pessoa and Leandro Bomfim. Sophisticated and Luminous.
