1970's: Joni Mitchell, Stravinsky, Bartok, James Taylor, Stevie Wonder, Mose Alison, Buddy Guy and Junior Wells, Bonnie Raitt, countless other blues musicians that I heard live at the Shaboo Inn in Willimantic, CT; Fairport Convention, Richard Thompson, The Silly Sisters, Cris Williamson, Steeleye Span, Horace Williams, Guy Wolff.
1980's: Julie Snow, Jane Yolen, David Mallett, Greg Brown, Claudia Schmidt, Johnny Cunningham, Silly Wizard, The Bothy Band, Andrew Calhoun, Chris Smither, Kevin Burke, Pierre Bensusan.
1990's: old timey music in general, Bruce Molsky, Bob Carlin, Norman and Nancy Blake, Jeff Warner and Jeff Davis whose playing inspired me to learn banjo.
2000's: Nightingale, Patty Griffin, Anais Mitchell.
