I was a secret singer from a very young age – I would wait until the house was empty, or until I had a window of opportunity when no one was listening, and I would belt my heart out. It all began really when I was 6 and got caught singing and dancing to the “Boo Boo’s” record I had bought with my first Boo Boo’s glow-in-the-dark doll. Of course, back then all I could conjure up in my audience was hysterical laughter. And although it is hysterically funny when I come to think of it now, back then I took things very seriously.
So I hushed up and didn’t sing another note until that fateful day when a Pearl jam record slipped into my hands (well, OK, I stole it from my brother’s bedroom). I remember sitting on my bed with my headphones on, unable to move and mesmerized by Eddie Vedder’s voice – it was artistic worship from day one. I did everything in my power to be able to sing like him – and as unbelievable as it may seem, succeeded pretty well at the time.
But I still didn’t believe I had the talent or looks to be able to sing in front of other people – I had never studied music, had never been sent to a music lesson despite the fact that I had been given a guitar at the age of 12, and just thought that as no one in my family did it, I really had no option to do it either.
But... that instinct grew inside of me, and erupted at every occasion – I began writing lyric after lyric and wrote the song “Dust of the Past” at the age of 17, which 10 years later appeared on the first Wandering Star record.
After University I threw myself into acting, and through this other creative craft I re-discovered my musical talent. I sought out musicians and was lucky enough to find them, and created the project Wandering Star, with whom I still collaborate to this day.
I have never looked back – it takes courage and dedication to live a life in music - all I can say is, well, I’m ready.
Che bella voce rilassante Luisa, rimarrei ore ad ascoltarti, il tuo genere mi piace molto. Anche la musica è molto piacevole. Complimenti e buona settimana. Gian.

As you know, we of the Asatru faith have many adherents in the Military, and have been working for some time for the right to place our symbol (The Mjolnir (or Thor's Hammer) on the graves of our fallen warriors. The Asatru Folk Assembly has put together a petition as part of our campaign. This is not a MySpace "Cause" or another online poll, but a legitimate petition which we aim to present to the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Whether or not, you are an Asatruar, I hope you will support this cause as a basic right for our military personnel. Please sign the petition at:
