   About Luis Narino (Noble Creatures)
Colombian-blooded, Kansan-born-'n-bred, guitar strummin', roadtrip-lovin', singer-songwriting, canvas-painting, music-composing, BBQ-eating, dance-ridden, helplessly-romantic fool of an artist. I know it's not a bio, but I figure most of you on here know me personally, and if not, I'm sure we'll get acquainted a little...

CD REVIEW
"Brilliant musician, I love the caribbean meets salsa and rock influence on My Great Escape, that has to be one of my favorite songs. Great job Luis!!" -Gus Osuna

FEATURED NIGHT
" Ive seen Luis Narino perform solo and with the Noble Creatures and both shows are rockin'. The unique blending of rock, soul, tropical grooves & entertaining stage presence makes you wanna dance and makes this band a must see in my book." -Dawn Alexander

MISTER B'S JUKEBOX WPMD.ORG
"Wow, “My Great Escape” is a great CD. When Mo Power and I played the title track on MisterB's Jukebox we were both dancing around the room like we had margaritas in our hands. And when the dj’s start dancing to your song, you know you’ve got a real winner." -MisterB

MUSIC REVIEW
"LUIS NARINO, TO CHILL OR JUST ROCK’N’ROLL-HE ROCKS!
Luis has a voice that's fun and upbeat, its great music to let your hair down too, my favorite is "The way we do", but check the other songs they all have a different flavor. I definitely dig this guy. Thumbs up for my "paisano" Check his page out, to see what he's all about!" -Aligned Visions

SURGE EVENTS
"In my 7 years of booking almost every venue in Los Angeles, I've had the pleasure of working with some of the most talented, passionate and consummate music professionals in the world. And Luis Narino absolutely qualifies as one of these talents. With exemplary songwriting skills, performance and vocal ability, Luis Narino is truly a fine practitioner of his craft- a man who possesses substance over style, who treats his career and promotion with the same passion with which he treats his music, and whose combined qualities make him a formidable musical force to be reckoned with not only in Greater Los Angeles, but worldwide." -Troy "T-roy" Berry

POETRONIGIRL'S ACOUSTICALLY SPEAKING ENT.
"Luis Narino is defintely a singer/songwrtier who is destined for greatness. He has been performing with PRG/Acoustically Speaking music collective for nearly four years. I first met Luis when he signed up to read at an open mic/music night that I was hosting at Panera Bread in Studio City, CA, and from that very first time I heard him play, I knew that I wanted him to perform with PRG!

Luis is one of our resident singer/songwriters at Room 5 Lounge for our PRG/Acoustically Speaking night. He is a crowd favorite and he gets along very well with his fellow performers. The one thing I really admire about Luis as a performer, is that he is always on time and one of the most professional entertainers that I have worked with.

His lyrics are timeless and his classically inspired, musical background shines through with every strum of his guitar. His thought provoking words often take his listerners on an acoustic journey into his world of globally inspired stories that appeal to the masses. The way that Luis is able to blend fantasy and reality into a metaphor of memories is simply a testement to his lyrical skills.

I have been honored to have Luis also tour with the PRG/College colletive as it is very clear to see that his performance and style appeals to the college commuity as well.

In short, Luis Narino's music is defintely a must play on everyone's IPOD!!!" -Roni Walters

CD REVIEW
"Hearing the powerful new recording “My Great Escape” by Luis Narino has solidified his place at the very top of my preferred singer/songwriter list. Though I have been a fan of this incredibly talented artist for 7 years now, I believe that this album is the most polished representation of his work. Luis Narino is an up-and-coming artist who will make a noticeable dent in the world of popular music. He has earned it.

Luis Narino is truly a unique talent in today's musical world. This highly-trained, but goofy and spirited professional, has been spending nearly 15 years exploring a sound that is a combination of Latin, Rock, Funk, Blues, Pop, and even a bit of Gospel styles- all of which he can perform with exceptional authenticity. I firmly believe that "My Great Escape" is a recording that captures an artist who has truly begun to find an individual sound- one that teens and adults can both find rewarding. I have always appreciated Luis for his use of creativity and charisma to attract listeners from a variety of musical tastes, and this album is no exception.

The first 2 tracks on this CD provide the listener with energetic riffs that encourage audience members of all ages to dance to the infectious groove. You get the feeling that Luis is playing the music for the enjoyment of the listener, and to let them know that everyone is invited to have a good time when listening to his music. The melodies in these first 2 tracks are extremely catchy, and are sung with terrific feeling. Either of these recordings would make a terrific single someday, particularly “A Sweeter Thing”, which has a chorus that is addictive from the beginning. What a marvelous mix of musical genres in this tune! The title track, My Great Escape, is one of the richer compositions, with a beautiful build up at the end, and lyrics that anyone can relate to in a variety of ways. The keyboard playing on this particular track is exceptional. The vocal harmonies are also rich, and add a lot of flare to an already beautiful vibe.

"Say It How It Is" is well placed on the album, and shows a slightly darker side of Luis. Again, the compositional elements here are well thought out, and polished. Luis' soloing ability on guitar is allowed to shine on this track, and it leaves me wanting more on other tracks. The vocals here are sung with great feeling, and I could see this song being done incredibly well in a live setting. "Birthday Suit" is a fitting closer for this debut album. The tune has a jam-band feeling, and I feel that a live version of this tune would bring it to life even more. The brass section does a terrific job, and the funky riffs leave the audience wanting to come out and play...

Luis Narino is an artist that deserves a tremendous amount of respect. I applaud him for taking the time to create beautiful compositions that send a positive, infectious vibe to his listeners. The artwork on the album is a perfect representation of the album vibe, and I applaud Julian for his efforts to capture the spirit of Luis’music. Congratulations to all of the performers on the recording, and to the editing crew. My Great Escape will be a regular playlist on my Ipod for years to come. I highly encourage you to check out a Luis Narino show, and to purchase this album IMMEDIATELY!" -Jonathan Glawe

Yup, going back to school to become a nurse. :) I'm still going to NWOSU, but I'm attending the Enid branch instead. I hope to make a trip again. Last time was too much fun! Tom has relatives in Vegas, so if we go out there it's highly probable we will road trip it to L.A.
Again, glad to hear things are going well for you! Before you know it, us Kansans will be hearing your songs on the radio!

Hey Luis,

I hope you're well and happy and enjoying the adventure of life!

May 1st, International Workers' Day, commemorates the historic struggle of working people throughout the world, and is recognized in every country except the United States, Canada and South Africa. This despite the fact that the holiday began in the 1880's in the United States, with the fight for an eight-hour work day.

On this May 1st, in honor of this historic day, I'm making this special wish for you: May your work be fruitful and your harvest bountiful!

Abundant Love and Sunshine,
Setra
