A Page for the soundtracks I produced/participated
Musician/Producer. Luiz Bertoni was born in São Paulo, Brazil, on July 7th, 1970. In 1978 he moved with his family to Rio. Luiz has a degree in Recording Techniques and has been working for almost twenty years as a drummer, producer and top programmer since the midi days for movies, documentaries and short movies. These particular skills helped him a great deal for the continuing growth of his participations in soundtracks, both as a song writer and producer. As a drummer he played in a number of quality acts in Brazil such as Os Copacabanas (legendary cult band form Rio),Eduardo Dussek and Zero. In 1997 Luiz Bertoni co-produced a single for a local band called Profeta. Its video clip reached number one on the top twenty of the local MTV within only two weeks on air. Later, in 2000 he made a successful association with André Sachs making sountracks for the movies for Fora do Eixo films. And also producing Bia Pontes, a Rio de Janeiro native talented singer/songwriter.In 2004 he moved to back to São Paulo and produced albums for Belo Horizonte based band Enjoy and Roger Garcia. During this period he played drums for one of São Paulo's most aclamed indie bands , Cara de Cavalo.In 2008 was part of the "Céu e chão" multimedia event(www.ceuechao.multiply.com) held in fine cultural centres of both Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo.He wrote two hours of music to be performed live in the event. Some of the themes written for it can be found here at www.myspace.com/luizbertonisoundtracks (from track four on).Currrently is involved in the production of his fourthcoming album. His decision of developing a solo career was based on the desire of sharing the music, and the landscapes of years of working in both the movies and the phonographic market. These tracks are delightful to listen to and their sound are like chronicles of his vast experience in the music industry. All songs are in Portuguese, the native language of his country, Brazil, with beautiful arrangements , which include the use of a string quartet and the participation of world Class musicians such as the percussionist Laudir de Oliveira (a former member of Chicago). Enough said, please feel free to sit back, relax and enjoy the music landscapes he creates.
