Leslie Salvador is DJ’s Luke Brown and Ricardo Ramos
According to Luke he played the piano badly the guitar badly and sang even worse and that’s all we know of his prior musical history. We do know regarding DJing, he's an avid collector of the weird and wonderful vinyl obscurities and has been seen lurking behind the decks at numerous parties over the years around Melbourne, from illegal basement parties, to glorified stairwells, and the biggest fanciest clubs in Melbourne.
Ricardo began DJing as a teenager in Los Angeles, California his hometown. In 2008 he moved to Melbourne in search of a new outlook on life. What he found was cheap drinks, nice people, and nothing but a good times. It was during this time, he met Luke at Revolver, one of Melbourne’s most reputable clubs.
Luke & Ricardo found a bond through music and spent many late nights in studio mixing records together and soon found their styles were complimentary and yet unique. They called themselves Leslie Salvador a combination of both their middle names.
Next to DJing, Leslie Salvador is now currently working on producing music and will have an E.P. due out in spring/summer 2009. LS play an eclectic mix of tropical obscurities, balearic wonders, rocky disco, chuggy house, and move onto classic chicago and detroit house depending on the night.
You can find them playing @ Match Bar every Friday night. LS have played with the likes of Johnny from Lazermagnetic, Hey Convict! Crazy P, Belle & Sebastian, Snow Patrol, & Joakim just to name a few and have been featured on cosmicdisco.co.uk, wavesatnight.com and nownow.com.au
