Luke has been playing the piano since 1983. Amongst others he has worked with the Daytime Frequency, Phil Gould, Paul Grabowsky, Leonard and Slava Grigoryan, Doug Parkinson, and the Melbourne Symphony. He was a finalist in the 2001 and 2004 Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competitions and has studied with Paul Bley, Donna Coleman and Fred Hersch, as a recipient of the 2001 Keith and Elisabeth Murdoch Travelling Fellowship. Luke has participated in the International Realtime Music Symposium and the Banff International Workshop in Jazz and Creative Music. Since July 2009 he is living in Berlin.
