Just me and my new Martin J 15 acoustic guitar mostly. Sometimes at open mic nights get to jam with other players, or sometimes have a drummer play along and play quite often now with Martin Cox from EK1 on saxaphone which is great.
Influences
Listen to loads of different types of music. Martyn joseph,Richard Thompson, John Hiatt, Rachel Harrington, blues(Kent Duchaine especially) Morcheeba, Kings Of Leon, The Kooks, Frank Turner, Karima Francis, U2, Air Traffic and many other artists.

FROM REVIEW OF STAINSBY FESTIVAL 2009:
"One performer who held the crowd rapt was Luke Jackson - a little lad with a big voice and even bigger potential for success. The 15-year-old singer/songwriter fired off a battery of his own creations such as Smile, which referenced the Montagues and Capulets from Romeo and Juliet, and a song which could be the soundtrack to his life, Still Too Young To Tour. He even managed to rival KT Tunstall in his take on her signature song, Black Horse & The Cherry Tree."
FOLK IN THE BARN SAY 'Luke stunned us at Folk in the Barn with his powerful, controlled vocals and well crafted songs. I hope we have the opportunity to book him again. At 14 - he's confident yet modest, dedicated, talented... and cute! There's nothing to stop him rising to the top.
Watch out Seth!'
MAVERICK @ ZEBRA SAY 'This is all seriously impressive for someone of your age and would be for someone a fair bit older too! The John Hiatt and Richard Thompson influences are a great secret weapon for a teen-age songwriter and are giving you the edge'
KONTRA ROOTS CLUB SAY
'Luke Jackson, phenomenal 14 year old singer songwriter and guitarist who is clearly "an old man inside a young man" (to quote Richard Thompson, one of his many influences). Hugely accomplished for one so young, and already a veteran of the acoustic scene in the south, here's a chance to hear what Tom Waits sounded like before his voice broke!'
ANTFEST 2009 SAY
'Luke Jackson is a 15 year old singer songwriter with prodigious talent. Literally every time I have seen this guy play he has smashed the roof out off of the venue. He has an amazing voice with depth, warmth and volume far beyond his years. One to watch!'
