.................. "WHAT I TELL MYSELF" climbed to 34 on The Texas Music Chart - 25 Weeks "TEQUILA SHEILA" climbed to 35 on the Texas Music Chart - 31 weeks Thanks for all the fan support! We love you....... Review of Luke Robinson’s Bad Luck CD 08-09 Luke Robinson is a country boy who sings with the passion of Alan Jackson, the sincerity of Toby Keith and the humility of Brad Paisley. That's why Luke Robinson's newest album "Bad Luck" may just be this up-and-coming country singer's good luck charm. Luke Robinson is a young man in a hurry. He began singing Garth Brooks songs at age nine and started composing his own original tracks at age twelve. Indeed, it is Robinson's strong, country work ethic and unique country music voice that make the album "Bad Luck" an unqualified country music success. The album starts out strong with the contemporary country track "That's What I Tell Myself" and is followed by the excellent, melodic title song "Bad Luck." Robinson also proves he knows how to have a good time with tunes like "Tequila Sheila" and "What Were You Thinking." The biggest surprise of the album is that Luke Robinson's star shines brightest on the country love song he wrote titled "Still Be Loving You." This song shows the strong creative songwriting talent of Luke Robinson, and his vocals on the track are pitch perfect. "Still Be Loving You" deserves a place on the country charts. The song might be an even bigger hit if the musical accompaniment on the track was remixed to capture the full intensity of Robinson's vocals and lyrics. Another superb, self-written ballad, "She Don't Know How To Cry" also shows that Robinson knows how to write a great country love song. The tracks on "Bad Luck" provide conclusive proof that major country music labels and radio program managers should take notice of Luke Robinson, and his future looks bright. In the liner notes of his CD, Robinson writes that he wants to: "leave tracks behind that are worth remembering." In that regard, Luke Robinson has already succeeded. CountryChart.com Luke’s review by Don Chance Times and Record News “BAD LUCK” BY LUKE ROBINSON. Luke Robinson, who is from Holliday, Texas, has grown up playing and recording traditional-leaning country music, and his new CD, “Bad Luck,” clearly showcases that growth. His clear tenor is solidly country, without drifting into the annoying nasal whine that makes so many radio hits today sound more or less like the same song. “That’s What I Tell Myself,” “Still Be Loving You,” “She Don’t Know How To Cry” “What Were You Thinkin’ ” and the excellent “Fool’s Moon” show that he also knows how to find or write outstanding songs, too. If he keeps on turning out work like this, before long Luke Robinson could end up showing the big-leaguers how country music is supposed to be done.
