   About Luke Rosier

** DEBUT EP "BLACK CAT RIVER" NOW AVAILABLE TO BUY ON iTUNES; LIMITED EDITION DIGIPACK CD AVAILABLE THROUGH CONCENTRATEDPEOPLE.COM **

I write songs because they makes sense to me, because words and melodies make pretty happy bedfellows, and because it means I can add to the great sea of songs which we all swim in. I trust and value the sturdy tools of pen and paper in this process, and a tape-recorder if handy.

I am 25, 5ft 11", slightly built, with possible French heritage and a love of the great outdoors. I live in London, and ride about on a variety of soon-to-be stolen bicycles. I would like to make a living out of making music, but worry it might drive me mad. Or make me disconcertingly happy.

I have worked with Concentrated People records since 2005. and together we are on the brink of releasing a six track debut EP, "Black Cat River", which should be available to buy in limited edition and regular CD format from April 2008. It is already available to buy on iTunes; the versions of "Old Bells" and "Low & Behold" here included can be found on "Black Cat River".

Please also check out www.boothillrecords.com - promoters and purveyors of great music, based down in the Southwest of England, where you can find more of my songs.

I have cut my teeth playing as a solo musician, but these days can more consistently be found hanging out on stage with The Lionels, a crack team of musical professionals and full-time beard enthusiasts. Of these, two live in London (handy) and one in Birmingham (less handy). They bang and rattle things, pick, hum and strum, at timely and opportune moments.

Please write to me if you have any pressing questions over my music, lifestyle choices, or any other matters of more immediate concern.

Over and out, Luke xx

Just one thing, although I attend to the Green Note Open Mic almost every sunday, I am not a performer...so the songs you enjoyed so much were not mine ^^
Erm ... I wonder who you thought I was... (maybe my french friens Athenais??)

"Low and Behold" awesome man, bout time you got something new up on here. I can't talk really though, still haven't quite got around to representing my musical world on myspace, most of it remains in my head.

Looking forward to catching up at the weekend dude.

Hiding From It

Dec 16 2007 8:23 AM

Let us just start by apologising for this "automatic comment" thing. We know it's annoying when bands you've never heard of spam your myspace.

However, this isn't meant to be spam. This is just a humble invite for you to come to our myspace, have a listen to the music and leave us some feedback? We'd really appreciate it, and we'll always reply to you.

Hope to hear from you soon :)

hi luke!

i was talking to that brother of yours yesterday (nick, not any of the other thousand siblings you have) and you came up in conversation so i thought i'd say hello.

how's the london life? no more muggings or tube station chases i hope?

i've just moved house so it's stress aplenty but i'm living on my own for the first time EVER in a lovely little studio in Exeter so that's quite nice. also spending a fair amount of time reading harry potter because i'm about 2 years behind normal society!

Hey Lukey Luke Luke! Or should that be Phileas Fogg? You have certainly got about a bit (arf arf!) since I saw you last: fun time away? Seems I've given away a few too many of my teacher tricks...I obviously wheel out the silent reading when I want time to faff infront of the wee nippers, but there was no need for such lame excuses as I'm on half term at the mo: I can legitimately spend time on myspace!!! The flagrant abuse of my position of authority will of course recommence next week...
Would be great to see you down in the lovely Brightonia! I'm here until the end of July at least (have yet to actually sort out a new place in town...) so if you are out and about on the south coast before then, let me know. I'm up in London in about a fortnight or so, for work stuff, but will pester you when I'm about and we can hopefully meet up. Lots of love hun...and good luck with the Slaughtered Lamb gig: you'll be fabulous and sorry I can't be there xxx

But it's not until tomorrow. A wee bit over-eager there, Lukey-boy... Anyhoo, if your good self and your makeshift wife (Marissa) are free on Saturday night you should most definitely come out for a drink.

aw, shame about the glasses. sigh. i did only give them a week. should've put bets on, dammit!
on a completely separate note, i was wondering if you'd be so kind to tell me how much you're paying for your lovely pad in hackney. sam'd like to move in that direction in september and we're starting to have a look at prices etc.
i agree about conor. he just ain't god in my eyes any more. also, hes abandoned his emo kid look which disappoints me. have fun on your travels and i'll have you round for that dinner when you return! xx
