I created a top three for just this occasion, and they are, in no particular order: House of Leaves, The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, and All the King's Men. Most of the others are classic sci-fi like: Phillip K. Dick, Robert Heinlein, Dan Simmons, Orson Scott Card, Ursula K. Le Guin, Arthur C. Clarke, Isaac Asimov, Neil Gaiman, Ray Bradbury, and George Orwell. Currently reading Haruki Murakami (The Wind-up Bird Chronicle). Also enjoy detective novels by the likes of John Le Carre, Martin Cruz Smith and John Burdett. While I love reading fiction the most important books in my life have been: The Quantum Challenge by Greenstein and Zajonc, The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins, Guns Germs and Steel by Jared Diamond, and Contemporary Abstract Algebra by Gallian. With the exception of the algebra book, I think these should be required reading for the human race.

That's about what I expected to hear...that your doctoring (read xbox playing) is going well. The real doctoring is going - sometimes good, sometimes bad, but always all kinds of weird. Finally finished urology yesterday and I am soo happy not to have to stick my finger in that many people's asses per week. I have my limits. Haha
