InfluencesWith branching off and studying different genres like I am there's so many influences. Here's a list of some off the top of my head, each influencing me in their respective genres:

- Cepia
- Deru
- Fort Minor
- Tommy Tallarico
- his boy elroy
- Linkin Park
- Loess
- Trentemoller
- Bichi
Sounds LikeBy the time I get done studying and researching all of the great music out there I want to have a very distinct sound. I've written down what elements of each genre I'd like to incorporate in my music which will hopefully yield me a very dynamic and unique sound.

The elements I hope to incorporate in my music at the end of all my research:

- Hip-hop: The big kicks and snares with a killer bass. -Complete

- IDM/Electronica: Get those randomly rhythmic clicks and drones with the 'muffled' distortions. -Now that I have an idea of what I'm doing, I can practice more with it.

- Score: Couple the elements with a high quality sounding orchestration. -Getting there, few more concepts to grasp.

- Rock: Just a slight guitar in some places to move things along. -Just need to get a modelling processor.

   About Luke Tripp
Welcome!

I've done numerous remixes of various artists like; Styles of Beyond, Cursive, Aly & Aj, Christopher Willits, Ajai, Vieux Farka Touré, Reel, Fort Minor, and the list continues.

All further remixes are going to be incorporating the type of musical style that I'm trying to create. Stay with me, even if they suck, at the end I should have something worth your patience, musical ear candy.

If you have any study tips, guides, suggestions for what I'm looking for let me know. You can follow my progress of each element to the right under "Sounds Like".

Hi Luke,

Just wanted to stop by and let you know that the first episode of Republic (using 3:1 as the soundtrack) is now online... let me know what you think, and thanks again for letting me use it for the podcast.

Hey, thanks so much for doing a remix. Sounds really great! We really appreciate the time and effort. There are a couple of other remixes coming down the pipe, but you're the only "Muchas Estrellas" I know about. I'll let ya know when everyone has submitted!

Luke,

Congrats on having your music put in the One Laptop Per Child initiative. That is absolutely wonderful! FYI, I've started recording the new podcast, and really appreciate you letting me use material from 3:1. It's a perfect match!
