Implementing a catchy technicality and revitalizing the acoustic genre, luke willms values vocal harmonies and a non-standard guitar approach. Just beginning to find his own craft, this 24 year old is nomadic in both location and sound. It was evident that his debut E.P was as versatile as it was an experiment, ranging from inspirational creations 'living for ourselves' and 'discover' to beach pop track 'sunkissed'. After being 'discovered' by Juno Nominee Ben Dunk (Wave), he is currently collaborating with J.C Smith from Ole Publishing-- one of Canada's most credited songwriter-producers (The Hills, Universal).
Having fronted a variety of acts since the age of 15, luke has since been removed from a history of band politics. However, 'Throw it to the Universe' is a step towards a full band effort, and a full length/full band album is set for release in 2010. The full length debut will showcase originals from the E.P release, expanding luke's originals to full-band orchestral potentials-- luke's original vision for the E.P's contents. His endeavors as a health advocate and sustainable development initiatives overseas have served and continue to serve as his lyrical compass.
