I appreciate good music no matter the genre, but it must be passionate; otherwise it's just empty.

If it's directed well, with good acting, and a well-written plot; it would probably be listed, if I were to list.

Kurt Vonnegut, Chuck Palahniuk, Trainspotting, The perks of being a wallflower(get off your ass and write something else, Chbosky.) I guess I have pretty cliche tastes when it comes to my reading. ..I've got a handful of books going at any given moment, but I'm still open to recommendations.
