Just take my track down already. Can't you see why I'm annoyed? Is it REALLY that hard to understand? Why should I even TRY to be polite when you were rude enough to distribute a badly mixed mp3 of my work? (you couldn't even keep the a cappella in time - how much effort would that take?) Money is not the issue. I honestly don't care about people sharing mp3s of my track (as long as somebody out there buys the vinyl then that's fine by me). My problem is that your version is EMBARRASSINGLY BAD. At best a poor joke. And when I complain, you display my comment on your page as if it were a badge of honour or something, put a patronising comment beneath it, and (presumably in a misguided effort to appease me) tell people to buy my record. Come on man, just take it down and make another half-arsed mashup of someone else's work to put up instead. It's not like it takes more than 2 minutes to make them anyway is it? Not as if you have to invest any real effort or skill? ...
@ Phobos' comment below: I don't expect everyone to like them and I don't claim to be a genius or the "next big thing" or anything, so if you don't like my tracks then that's cool, but for pity's sake don't try to paint me as some sort of player-hater. Or are you SERIOUSLY suggesting I should be grateful to Luminfire for effectively bootlegging my track? Maybe I should pay him for the privilege eh? Would that make me less of a "chump"? How dare I take offence at someone making a piss-poor version of my track and distributing the mp3 of it! How dare I get upset when its this version that gets played on the radio! (oh, I suppose that's sour grapes on my part because his version is so much BETTER!) How dare I defend myself when the person who did it belittles my attempts to defend myself! What an idiot I am!
@ Luminfire, can you please send word to Phobos and make sure he gets to read my message? Thanks buddy.
Dude, Letroset is the chump. I went to his page and found his stuff to be relatively unimaginative compared to others I've heard in the genre. If he's upset to actually get real air time instead of playing in little Midlands bars, maybe he should just give up.
More on topic...once again, great stuff. Don't let "Marvin" over here rain on your parade.
Take that version of my track off your page NOW numbskull.
I can't think why, but seeing as how you asked me to be your "friend" on here, maybe you were expecting I'd be OK with it or possibly even flattered. You might have guessed by now, but I'm not very impressed. I could go into detail about how and why it's as godawful as it is (as if it weren't obvious enough), but I think I'll just call you an idiot and leave it at that.
You might be pleased to learn that some half-wit "DJ" played YOUR version on the radio over here in the UK a few months ago - I never thought I'd be embarrassed to have one of my tunes played on there (not that it was properly credited to me anyway), but YOU made it happen - thanks for that, you complete fucking chump. Bravo!
I realise the mp3 is in circulation already and has been amusing some of the simple-minded folks out there who visit blogs like yours for a while, but if you have a shred of honour, you'll do as I ask: take it down from your page and never bother me again. Carry on making your mashups, whatever: there seem to be plenty of people out there who haven't grown out of it yet, so best of luck to you. If you can get yourself noticed by making sloppy novelty mash-ups then kudos to you, but stick to the pop stars and leave me out of it.
