Formed early 2006, Lumphammer are the horrible brainchild of guitarist Matt, bassist Tim and drummer Craig. The guys started jamming without a singer for a while until they decided to draft in Dann on vocal duties, who is in fact Matt's older brother. A mutual love for booze and heavy metal brought the guys together as a unit to deliver some dirty ass sludge/stoner rock. Lumphammer take a very aggressive attitude towards the music they produce and easily get the message across. Influenced by bands such as Iron Monkey, EYEHATEGOD, Down and Superjoint Ritual, Lumphammer have created a distinctive sound which is very dirty and raw. Still a new band to some, the guys are working hard and going from strength to strength. No gimmicks and no bullshit the 'Hammer are just an honest, gritty and disgusting band that should be taken very seriously.
