About me:
Usually known as Marieke, I'm a Dutch ex-pat living in NY, USA by way of Sydney, Australia with my husband and as of July 14 2005, my son Dashiell. On March 25th 2008 we welcomed our daughter Matilda into our family.
Time to myself without having a toddler pulling at my leg or wanting attention has become a rarity, sadly. When I do have some time to myself I like to tinker about online (webdesign, IRC, World of Warcraft), read or do cross-stitch. I'd like to learn how to knit, and I have a stack of art/craft paper gathering dust in a corner at the moment. Maybe once the kiddo becomes more self-entertaining.
Together with my other half I run http://www.goth.net/ which is a gothic resource site. It desperately needs an update and a face lift. I'm working on concepts for that at the moment.
Contrary to what my profile picture may lead you to believe, I'm not actually a model. I'm just lucky to have the wickedly talented Nadya Lev as my friend, and we did that awesome shoot together. Those of you familiar with her work know she's totally amazing!
Any users who leave me spam comments (tracker shite, Macy's card ads etc.) will be unceremoniously deleted from my friends list.
