    My Interests :

I enjoy going to the park for a nice relaxing walk... Enjoying the smell of fresh cut grass … the smell of the pine trees and the feel of a nice cool breeze. I go for a 4 mile walk/jog 3 or 4 times a week at a park near my home. I also enjoy listening to Salsa, Boleros, and Latin Jazz.

    What I'd like to do:

    Other interests:

    Auto repair:
(worked in my dads auto repair shop from 7 until I was 19 years old). I love working on all things mechanical.

    Home Improvement projects:

    PC build and repair:
Got my hands on the first PC back in the early 80's and I've been involved in this technology ever since.

    Web software and infrastructure:
This is actually my favorite hobby. I use Dreamweaver to create WebPages. I program in HTML,ASP, PHP, JAVASCRIPT, PEARL, Visual Basic and I use MySql as a database engine.

  • Movies

    My favorite movies

    Das Boot (German - 1981)
A detailed look into the claustrophobic and terrifying world of a German U-boat crew hunting ships from undersea. Gritty, realistic, and peppered with black humor, this is one of the few sympathetic portrayals of the war from the German side to be released in western distribution

    Brother (Russian – 1998)
Danila goes to his older brother to start a new life in Petersburg. His brother is a gangster and a killer, and he puts Danila into this criminal world asking him to kill someone. There his new life starts ….

War of the Worlds (USA – 1953)
The Martians unchain a direct assault to our planet, with hundreds of invulnerable ships. The invasion takes place all over the world, and all the major cities are destroyed one after one; even the atomic bomb can't stop them

    Gosford Park (USA – 2002)
Set in the 1930's the story takes place in an old fashioned English country house where a family has invited many of their friends up for a weekend shooting party. The story centers around the McCordle family, particularly the man of the house, William McCordle. Getting on in years William has become benefactor to many of his relatives and friends. As the weekend goes on and secrets are revealed,

    Brazil (USA – 1985)
In an Orwellian vision of the future, the populace are completely controlled by the state, but technology remains almost as it was in the 1970's. Sam Lowry is a civil servant who one day spots a mistake in one of the pieces of paperwork passing through his office. The mistake leads to the arrest of an entirely innocent man, and although Lowry attempts to correct the error, it just gets bigger and bigger, sucking him in with it.

    Master and Commander
During the Napoleonic Wars, a British frigate, HMS Surprise, and a much larger French warship, the Acheron, with greater fire power, stalk each other off of the coast of South America. Russell Crowe brings great intensity to the role of Captain Jack Aubrey.

    Blade Runner (USA – 1982)
In a cyberpunk vision of the future, man has developed the technology to create replicants, human clones used to serve in the colonies outside Earth but with fixed lifespans. In Los Angeles, 2019, Deckard is a Blade Runner, a cop who specializes in terminating replicants

The Ghost and Mrs. Muir (USA – 1947)
In 1900, strong-willed widow Lucy Muir goes to live in Gull Cottage by the British seaside, even though it appears to be haunted. Sure enough, that very night she meets the ghost of crusty former owner Captain Gregg...and refuses to be scared off.

About me:

======================================================

I was born in Mercedes Texas and raised here in Houston since I was 4yrs old. I don't smoke (I quit 25 years ago) and drink only in social occasions I don't go to church but I do believe in god. I work as a computer programmer / Systems Analyst and have been in the Information Technology field for 34 years now. I love to do home repairs and improvements from Electrical to Plumbing to flooring etc. I also like to do automobile repairs from cooling systems to Electronics to Fuel systems to Suspension. I can also build or repair PCs from Hardware to Software. I'm a romantic at heart and I love the old fashioned ways of many years ago. Those days are gone now... but I still long for them. I am very honest, and direct. I expect others to be the same. I like to laugh and make people laugh. I don’t take life too seriously but I understand when it’s time for play and when it’s time to get the job. ........

Who I'd like to meet:

I’d like to meet mature folks with the right attitude…. people who have learned to focus on the things that matter and disregard the rest… folks who can say “no” when required and “yes” when appropriate.
