Lung is an independent peddler of unique voices in contemporary poetry. We strive to redefine the modern poet as a provocateur and not a redundancy of academic drivel. Lung is 100% free for all readers.

Lung seeks previously unpublished poetry that invokes emotion but avoids the trappings of mediocrity. We cater to fresh, innovative voices that have something original to say. We avoid didactic, esoteric or highly abstract material.

We prefer you to show, not tell, and do so with concrete words we can understand. We enjoy the unexpected married to sensory language. We find strength in simplicity. If it is unique and jumps off the page, we want it.
