About me: Bob and I were married on the first day of Spring, 2007 and we had our baby bear (Autumn Sky) in our little cabin home with the help of a wonderful midwife and doula on Feb. 13, 2008. ONE HAPPY FAMILY!!! you can see lots of photos of our life at http://picasaweb.google.com/steffochka
I am now a very happy "stay-at home" momma. My days are spent having fun with Autumn Sky, very often NOT at home as we have lots of play dates, play groups, and places to be. I started volunteering one day each week at an after school program for immigrant children at our local elementary school which I am really excited about as it is a great change from the day to day with baby.
Baby and I have made a few trips in her first year of life: Philadelphia, New York City, Rochester/Geneseo NY,and Montreal. Her second year will take us to the Massachusetts coast, France, and back to everywhere we went last year! Yay! Even though I am the most "rooted" I have ever been in my life (married to a guy who hates travel and change and who has lived on the same dead-end dirt road for most of his life, and probably the rest of his life too!) I still have managed to get around quite a bit, but trips to China, Tibet, Ukraine and Africa will almost certainly have to wait at least till high school!

Hi Steff! We got your package! Thanks! It was really unexpected and sweet. :) We enjoyed opening and looking at all the neet things. Sometimes I read parts of the mothering mag to Adam, but he said that it says "mothering" on it, not "parenting" or "fathering", so he wants to get a parenting mag or a fathering mag now. MY platoon is the WORST in the company, and possibly in the battalion. They SUCK! I have to turn them around, but it is HARD! Anyway, other than that, things are good. How is Autumn?
