Lupine is hailed as being England's legendary Gothic Rock gods, after playing several uk tours and a history of successes panning across a decade of releases.
The band started in 1998 with lead singer Lemmy Af Lupine on vocals and a comradery of other musicians after being a born star out of carrion.
The band played their first big gig for Fanzine and the Nightbreed records X-mas party, they then proceeded to play gigs in stoke, Nottingham and various other cities while writing new material to record.
In December 2000 the band recorded two songs in the Nightbreed studios *MEMORIES & 1999
They then went into the studio to record a further 3 songs *DEPRESSION, ROBOTIC VAMPIRES & MY GOD.
Lupine was then asked to play at the 2001 Carnival of Souls, and after a band line up change Lemmy was happy to do so, as the release of the LP FOR THE PEOPLE WHO SUFFER *available thru NIGHTBREED recordings*
The band toured intensely before playing the Carnival to promote the LP and built up a reputation and a following. In this time there was several compilation releases that included several Lupine tracks, *Nightbreed new alternatives 5 & The gothic sounds of Nightbreed.
Lupine was now playing bigger crowds and invading further a field heading to Wales and playing for Flag promotions and the Vampire connections in London.
In 2004 Lupine was asked to play the Carnival of Souls again, this time the event was bigger and Lupine over whelmed the audience and won the title of being England's Goth Rock Legends.
At this point the band had spent more time in the studio recording enough material for another album, but few of the songs saw the light of day. At this time the band was undergoing many changes, including a line up change and a sound change.
The band re-recorded Broken Wings which was scheduled for release in 2007 along with other re-releases that are available through Nightbreed Records.
Good news on the lupine front. Nick Hopkinson has joined Lupine on the bass guitar and Hannah on backing vocals. Nick and Hannah joined Lupine in the middle of 2007 and have being playing a big part of Lupine, also Ryan... the new Lupine guitar player has joined the band during 2008 and Lemmy loves his work that he is doing. After the successful No Heaven UK tour 2008, including the Whitby Goth Weekend and Darkend festival, Lupine are now preparing for the Robotic Vampires tour 2009, including returning to Whitby and appearing at the Carnival of Souls.
