Gavin Lurssen won his third Grammy in 2009 for mastering "Raising Sand," with Alison Krauss and Robert Plant. Six records Lurssen Mastering, Inc. worked on in 2008 were nominated in eight Grammy categories with four of them as declared winners.
Lurssen Mastering, Inc. has routinely worked on albums that were either nominated for or won Grammy awards, as well as numerous albums that made their way onto the Billboard Charts (many reaching 1). In 2002, the first year mastering engineers were included in the "Album Of the Year" category at The Grammys, Gavin was honored in the category for his work on the "O Brother Where Art Thou?" soundtrack.
The entire Lurssen Mastering, Inc. team has also been active over the last several years servicing and supporting independent artists. At this time of transition in our industry, we understand that the emerging independent music scene is a driving force and we are thrilled to participate in it.
