Cause: Lack of interest or concern with a bunch of free time in some basement one day in '03. Effect: Lack of interest or concern with no free time in some van one day in '09. One might raise a fist, one a hand, a finger, two fingers, many a voice. The soundtrack of an ordinary day in a strange life, or just a strange day in an ordinary life.
An ordinary following has grown, a strange buzz raised. With the help of few, Luster have written and recorded their material from the corner of a flooding basement, to one of the top studios in Nashville (Creative Caffeine Studio, Brock Music), and most recently, Engine Studios (Gomez, Grandaddy, Margot & The Nuclear So and So's, Iron & Wine).
Luster have also recently had the honor of working with Greg Calbi of Sterling Sound for the mastering of their new album "Run From Dogs"(May 2009). Once packing rooms like Lyon's Den, Mutiny and Elbo Room, Luster have now shown capacity numbers to some of the best venues regionally. In '06, Pen Music Group in Los Angeles added Luster to their roster. Since then, Luster's music has been licensed in multiple episodes of the CW's "America's Next Top Model", and counting. Licenses for their songs have also been obtained by MTV (Laguna Beach), Fischer productions (ESPN), Fox, The Lifetime Channel as well as a handful of independent filmmakers. Luster's songs have been featured on radio stations such as Q101.1(Chicago) and 93.1 WXRT(Chicago) as well as many others around the U.S..
Luster have earned their keep in the hearts of thousands of fans across the country, and even some internationally. They have toured the country on a budget you would laugh at, with no regard for what might have been. Along the way performing with the likes of Keane, Switchfoot, Radio Moscow, SSM, The Crash Moderns, The Takeover UK and many many others. Luster's second LP "Run From Dogs" will be released in May 2009. It will be shortly followed by a national PR campaign & tour.

so why do you have to play a show in STL when I am going to be heading up to Chicago that night? Have a good show, and hopefully I will catch you guys the next time your in town.
Things are well. Business is typically slow as far as jobs, but a lot of calls for spring - fall. Let's face it, who wants to go out into this weather? Glad to hear the album is coming along. Keep me posted.
