writing/performing/listening to music, record stores, eating/cooking gourmet concotions, moooovies, elephants, penguins, painting, sneakers, hoodies, vintage (looking) clothes, going to concerts, starbucks, stickers, cheese, shopping, reading, having a nocturnal lifestyle, Toronto Symphony Orchestra, cute boys who are even cuter when playing their instruments...
Music
this is a dangerous question. OK, off the top of my head:
J.S Bach, Alicia Keys, Jon Brion, MOS DEF, Lauryn Hill and the Fugees, Jason Mraz, Jill Scott, Amel Larrieux, stars, denzel sinclaire, theolonious monk, john coltrane, brad mehldau, keith jarrett, Stevie WONDER, natalie gardiner, kings of convenience, jeff buckley, glen gould, city and colour/dallas green, samantha ronson, mark ronson, cat power, regina spektor, tori amos, Mozart, Shostakovitch, Bartok, marty sampson and the united crew, amy winehouse, jane monheit, tierney sutton, metric, death cab for cutie, the killers,?uestlove and The Roots, Talib Kweli, Broken Social Scene, Rilo Kiley, Jenny Lewis, Arctic Monkeys, The Stills, Gorillaz, FEIST, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Adriana Evans, Lily Allen, Domino, Dallas Green, Kid Koala, The Stills, John Meyer Trio, Cassandra Wilson, Tiny Danza, oh, and of course, the Boo Boo Boos.
I will stop here because I could go on forever.
Movies
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, I Heart Huckabees, The Royal Tannenbaums, Almost Famous, Little Miss Sunshine, the usual suspects, school of rock, amelie, the little mermaid, RENT, american beauty, beaches, hilary and jackie, punch drunk love, The Squid and the Whale, napoleon dynamite, not without my daughter (I watched this as a kid and it was traumatizing), the terminal, legally blonde, When Harry Met Sally, 200 Cigarettes, all movies by Wes Anderson and obviously The Fight Club.
Oh yeah, anything with Bill Murray is always good.
Television
Arrested Development, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, 24, The O.C., Full House, The Cosby Show, Saved by the Bell and What Not to Wear.
Books
I loooooove to read.
Anything by Ayn Rand will tickle my fancy. If you can discuss Objectivism with me, I will be your best friend. I am currently reading a plethora of books. Anthony Bourdain-Kitchen Confidential: Adventures in the Culinary Underbelly, Zadie Smith-White Teeth and On Beauty, J.D. Sallinger's underdog of a book Franny and Zooey, and Nick Toshes' In the Hands of Dante.
Stuff that I've finished reading and love are: C.S. Lewis books (not Narnia, but his theological books), The Birth of Venus, Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, cook books, yada yada...
Anyone have any good books to recommend to me? I tend to enjoy historical fiction and chick lit (blushes).
Heroes
I honestly don't know anymore. The people have failed me. Luckily, God hasn't and He never will.
About me:
I drink coffee with a straw.
I like people watching.
I like to chill out on my bed listening to good music, usually jazz.
I listen to indie rock and classical music when I drive.
I love to drive at night. I like everything more at night. I think I'm even smarter at night.
I'm agoraphobic. I get nervous when there are too many people around. Social events make me nervous but you'd never know with my friendly facade.
I'm nocturnal but my job does not allow me to live this life.
I'm a foodie/epicurian for life. I like to cook and eat well.
I like trying out new restaurants.
The Toronto Symphony Orchestra is where its at. I try to go at least once a month.
My life pretty much revolves around food and music. I teach music. I make music and I most certainly listen to music. And oh yes, I eat daily.

Who I'd like to meet:

Thank you so much for your support and encouragement. The book that God has tasked me with completing, Carnal Striving Spiritual, is now available for secure purchase from my website - www.AnthonyJerrod.com, as well as Amazon and Barnes & Noble. The already critically-acclaimed book is being endorsed by very prominent scholars, pastors and authors and has been reviewed as one of the best Christian books of 2009.
Your help in advancing the Kingdom of God is appreciated. May you and yours have a wonderful day, and I hope that you will find something in the book that will bless you and/or help to improve your Christian walk.

Hi... We're writing this message to you only to tell you that A) We have two new tracks up and B) We're now selling a full LP (it's pretty cheap which is nice). We just wanted to tell you what's new with us (if you even cared to know that is) but if you're actually intrigued or just laughing and rolling your eyes at us... either way, have a most lovely day
Just wanted to let you know that we've just posted all the MIDI files for the pieces from the Connections series. You can download them from the Audio Library in the Members Area.
Thanks for accepting my friend request! I hope you can spend a moment checking out my website at www.christophernortonconnections.com
I've just posted new photos and videos of recent workshops and showcases. Off to Texas this weekend for another show!
Keep in touch.
Hey, we have a new song on our page. It would be cool if you could check it out, but if not we understand, we hate these comments too.
But anyway, we're feeling pancakes--are you feeling pancakes right now? we should have pancakes together. We think that'd be nice, even if you don't like or know who we are.
Anyway, hope to talk to you soon.
Love always,
Yes Means No
We are proud to introduce the sweet, soulful voice of new lead singer
Gyles to the Jamesking family. A gifted vocalist, Gyles has performed
with Juno award nominees Jully Black, Glenn Lewis and Carlos Morgan, and
has performed all over North America.
Sorry, I was online, but not "online." Just missed you there. Have a safe trip back home. Miss you lots. Can't wait to go on our BFF dates again. Actually, it depends on how great that shirt you got for me is. Thanks for that!
Can a guy not like 70s porno music or homo ballads? Your comment there just hurt the feelings of many others who share my musical tastes.
I will make you your SEX MIX 2007. It'll be so great, and PRACTICAL. But let's keep that on the hush hush. I want to make it creative but the creative juices aren't flowing for me. Yet.
Actually, one of my clients is a leading condom company. I've asked for them to send me sample packs of all their new items. Shall I hook you up with those goods? I know you do!
hey!
thanks for being friends. it was super cool to meet you the other night. thanks for a lot for your help with selling my CD's.
hopefully we can hang again sometime....perhaps at the next tiny danza show!
