   About Luther G. Williams

MySpace
Luther G. “The Panther” Williams is an American jazz pianist and jazz educator. He is an authentic exponent of Harlem stride piano, the rich style represented by such players as James P. Johnson and “Fats” Waller. Williams has given frequent recitals in New Orleans and in Athens, Georgia. He was a featured artist at the 1987 Athens Jazz Festival, and most recently, nationally on NPR’s “All things Considered” radio program.

Luther's work has been admired by such artists as Oscar Peterson, Lionel Hampton, and Joe Turner. In 1985, Williams produced and hosted a television show featuring New Orleans jazz. His radio program showcased the music of legendary jazz artists as well as his own music.

In addition, the simple and powerful teachings of Luther G. Williams on the revelation of Jesus Christ in mathematics, acoustics, cryptology, chemistry, and astronomy advance God’s plan for humankind in this age. A former college professor, Dr. Williams now teaches through public appearances, radio broadcasts, and such publications as The Martin Luther King Codes: New Discoveries in Biblical Research, The Methuselah Codes: Living on the Fringe in the Last Days, More Bible Codes and Their Surface Texts: A Match Made in Heaven?, Enquiring in His Temple: A Numerical View of the House That God Built, and The Temple Dispensation Hypothesis. A social psychologist whose academic research focuses on music as communication, Dr. Williams has taught at several universities, published widely on the sociology of music, and served as an audience research consultant for radio stations throughout the United States. Dr. Williams is also an ordained minister who’s message to all people is that “God’s love is the mind’s greatest adventure.”

Luther G. Williams’ new 20-song CD “Testament” will be available very soon. Stay tuned to this page for upcoming information. In the meantime, please listen to the samples above from this legendary artist.

A Few Testimonials:

"It's always a pleasure to listen to someone as dedicated to his instrument."
Oscar Peterson (virtuoso jazz pianist)

"I don't know of anyone who has learned as much as he has about playing piano, with almost no formal training!"
Ellis Marsalis (jazz pianist, educator, and patriarch of the Marsalis dynasty)

"I think he's very good . . . and he's very, very young. I think he's going to be one of our really strong pianists in the future . . . you can notice a lot of Art Tatum's influence in his playing."
Joseph H. "Joe" Turner (last of the original generation of stride pianists, singer, accompanist to Miss Adelaide Hall, international ambassador of jazz)

"Luther is an excellent player . . . a gas to listen to . . . so nice to hear another two-handed pianist still operating at full speed!"
Paul Smith (veteran of the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra, and longtime accompanist to Miss Ella Fitzgerald)
