While the Hallelujah Love series is Christian-themed, it is not Christian fiction. The novels revolve around real people who just happen to be pastors, their wives, choir directors/members and other people who warm the pews on any given Sunday. Within this setting, there are moments of inspiration, contemplation, humor, enlightenment and, of course, drama. Against this backdrop is the realistic portrayal of characters formed in my imagination but often inspired by real life events. Lutishia, i more than love your writing! I think it is refreshing, real, raw and honest! So often people who write Christian/inspirational fiction, miss an audience of people because they feel the stories are unrealistic. They don't speak to the masses.I know that we are to set a standaerd for people to aspire to, but when the goal of being obedient (with seemingly very little struggle is portrayed) I think alot of people tune out the message. In your books, you show the sides of both coins. you speak with a variety of voices and your message: Powerful! In LITS,LLH,I loved the sisterhood theme! you know I am all about that with my group...so we will be reading the whole series as it relates to sistas! Keep penning and keeping it real. God has a niche for all of us and can't nobody judge us but HIM. I think sometimes we get so caught up in this traditional/religious thing, how do they say...heavenly bound and no earthly good?!
