Born in Sweden to a swedish mother, Helena, and a calabrian father, Fulvio. Studied at Södra Latin Music Liceum in Stockholm and at Skurups Musikfolkhögskola gaining at his 20 years of age the position of artistic director of Roj Theatre in Stockholm.
In 1990 composed his first soundtrack for the film "Linnea" produced by Svenska Filminstitutet and internationally distributed.
In the same year recorded his first CD "Mountains Breath", produced by Pino Daniele for Freeland, an indie label, as well as a CD with Mick Goodrick.
In 1993 recorded his second CD "Santa Sofia" with the precious guests Paul McCandless and Antonello Salis.
In 1998 the meeting of Javier Girotto and Alessandro Gwis gave life to "Mascarò" (Equipe), his third work.
"Ensemble" (Widesound), his last CD, has been the natural step of a path walked along with Massimo Manzi, Alessandro Gwis and the ever since band-mate Luca Pirozzi.
